Just conquered the top part. I'll leave the four blaze spawners in case I want to farm them. But my internet connection is really bad today, lag is killing me...
Aren't you playing single player? How does the internet effect you? Unless you mean other stuff.
Yup. I just loaded the world and could see through it, and I saw a lot of paintings. Now I know what is lagging me.... I am really sorry, but I will have to go into MCedit and delete all entities...
Edit: that helped a LOT. I cleared the second floor from above. Man, the new zombie AI, they're just flowing in from everywhere!
Oh. Just found the zombie eggs. Kewl. I like how so far almost every area has a theme that accompanies the mob egg (<--- couldn't think of a better way to describe it :3) I am looking forward to blaze and ghast eggs... heh... heheh...
Alright, you have gone a bit overboard with the spawners in here. The new zombie AI doesn't help! You should cut the spawners in half or something, at least lower them a bit. And damn, this place is huge. Lots of loot too though
Edit: wanna see what I mean?
Right after I took the screenie I fell in there. Needless to say, I got finished off very, very quickly. At least that will make them despawn. Ironically, I died by getting shot by a skeleton.
:0 That will be fixed....but at least now I know it is possible...
Hehe, I'm surprised I managed to conquer the top three floors with only one death. You could make the radius in which the spawners detect for monsters bigger, so they stop spawning when there are like... idk, 15/20 zombies in the building.
I think I totally cleared the top. The ladder goes down, to, I suspect, the intersection.
Edit: lol.
Yay, finally found the monument! And I can will make a skeleton and blaze grinder right outside Now, to transferr all my stuff... gah.
Now you can set up your permanent base! I'm sorry the monument looks terrible,I suck at building. Be warned I didn't make it a happy atmosphere and there may be traps......
Atleast you know you are terrible I found and disabled your railway traps. I am NEVER ever pressing any of your buttons again. Time to set up some automated farms and grinders
> oh ya here's an photo of an area in the second map. Hopefully you'll try this one out too!
That looks horrible (as in evil). Count me in But I will finish this one first. Which of the I3 areas should I pick first?
Edit: I HATE COMPARATORS. You know what I'm talking about. Also, I like how you think Zisteau could make a house with 2 stacks of glass and 4 stacks of cobble (though he could probably make something awesome with it). And a creeper just blew up in the middle of my working area.
I think you should start with the catacombs.... that's where you'll get the enchanted pickle.
Alright. So I just set up my base and farms, sorted my chest, have an insta-recover chest, and made a skelly grinder with a hopper . But when making the grinder, I found this:
I found it in the big shaft near the VM. When facing in from the VM to the left, behind some silverfish stone bricks. What is it?
I knew somebody would find it....it was suppose to be the path to the victory monument but I soon realized it came too close to the crevice. So I covered it up with silverfish and built the path to the monument somewhere else.
Oh, alright. So why don't you fill it in or maybe hide a piece of cool loot there Also, there is really nobody else posting. I wonder if anyone is further into the map than me...
I like the idea of hiding a piece of loot there. But I soon decided that could be like a place for mobs to spawn to limit the amount inside the victory room. I think you are the farthest in the map, gurgles hasn't posted much so I don't know how far he is in.
I know, it's just all of the CTM maps I've raged and stopped playing. So I thought I would wait for the easier one. And the floating islands seems like a good idea, because most linear branching maps I've played are caverns.

For lots of the areas in the second map, do them during the day. That makes it a lot easier.

Personally covering it up would seem like the best option.
==Feedback on the abandoned mining quarters==
-I like how most of your areas are big and open. It makes for a bigger challenge when lighting things up, although there is less direct combat. I hope to find some more confined areas later.
-I like the outer wall, although the two wooden towers feel... empty...
-Loved the TNT trap behind the iron doors.
-The potion turret was cool, although the poison (and the damage?) should be poison II if you really want to kill someone.
-You don't bury spawners. This makes it a lot easier.
-In the building, too many zombie spawners, thanks to the new AI.
-The egg isn't in the typical egg box, which may confuse a player.
-The mineshaft (is that what it is?) with the wooden thingies around the edge was really easy to conquer with just one bucket of lava.
-The Egg Monument looks kinda cool, just because it is different.
-The letters spelling "Molten Edge" are kind of ugly. I suggest removing them or trying to improve them.
-Lol @ Zisteau building a house with 4 stacks of cobble and 2 stacks of glass.
-Trapping the area around the monument can be dangerous. I would not recommend doing this.
-In the rail line, why is there a random patch of silverfish cobble?
Also, at Intersection 3: there is a sign saying Victory Monument. Yours is called the Egg Monument, and Victory Monument is copyrighted by Vechs.
Hopefully the trap didnt't blow up the monument right? And yea I had to add a death counter. It seems like the fad people are into when they play CTM maps. The cobble was kinda a test. If people saw it and decided to inspect it, a proximity detector would activate, killing them.
No, it didn't. Also, you know you can add a death counter with command blocks? It is a bit annoying to do it manually, I've already given up. And a proximity bomb never blew up there, did you remove it?
So... The Catacombs. All I can say so far is
1. LAG, idk why
2. machine gun knockback skeletons + soulsand + melee = NO. Gotta grind more arrows
Oh really...I never knew....mainly because this map was built in early 1.4. Hmmm did I not add the bomb?
I don't know why there's lag......
