I really don't know, you're the first one having this problem as far as I know. But I really want to help you
We managed to find four of the five parts of the "bonus" code (although one of them was found outside the play area, a red herring), has anyone else found the last piece?
Parts we've found:
(I wasn't sure how to spoiler it, so I coloured it white instead. Highlight if you want to see.)
I'm not going to tell you guys yet, but i can tell you the easter egg is very disappointing untill I changed it.
Wow, just finished! I have to say this was a lot of fun but a bit frustrating in places. I thought it was going to be pure brainpower puzzles (Those were AWESOME, some much easier than others but all do-able.) but then the parkour got thrown in and I was like.. oh, god. I HATE jumping puzzles. I cheated on those, not even going to lie, but it made me feel like I missed out on some of the fun.
Oh, I also forgot to say, it makes really good use of some of the 1.5 features! Very impressive and cool to see them in action!
Let me tell you, this is the best puzzle map I've ever played. It uses 1.5 features exceptionally well. The puzzles are each interesting and unique, and the way some puzzle rely on older puzzles is simply astounding. My favorite part, by far, was "YouTube." I've actually left a comment on each _____ saying why I came there (I'll let you fill in the blank so there are no spoilers, even though it's pretty obvious). Man, keep up the great work. My YouTube channel is TheWolzen by the way.
P.S.
Don't expect any videos of the map from me. I'm not a commentator.
This is fun, but I think my map was genuinely screwing up. I'm very confused and it's frustrating because I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is part of the map or some kind of error....
1.7.10 is total cake , nocakeing any caked recipe work , tried to make el steel now furnace kick coal out , srsly all mods that was upraded to 1.7.10 is stink cake
just delete this caking mod and install 1.6.4 they work at least or make your own mod without caking yourself all day and night because there is some caked recipe that dont caked work
jespertheend, what's the command typed in the command block to teleport you up/down x blocks? Also, I can't find any rules, so I nocliped through the walls and saw the codes on signs above chests. Was that for your reference or for the player's reference? Why are the cakes and the anvil "glitch duplicating" when I sprint to it? It really ticks me off. How do you have the command block's name as "the Code"? I have it set as "@" and don't know how to change it. This is an awesome map, but Amount and Different are mad hard(I get too much of one item, have a hard time finding something, and get the Amount and Different items on both levels.)
Warning to all players who don't have hundredth of a second reflexes: you'll never get past that level.
At the very least, make sure you have top of the line hardware (CPU + graphic card) to even try that level. Because Minecraft is definitely NOT a high-FPS quick-player-input-response-time environment, even with all video options set to minimum, this means it is essentially very bad for jumping games.
Please redo that level so that the difficulty of that level is not in the dexterity required for the jumps themselves but in the actual CHOICE and order of the jumps. Many jumps in that level require sprinting, diagonal jumps, and require nearly perfect reflexes and timing. etc. I strongly suggest making ALL jumps straight and simple, covering only 1 block gaps, heck most of the platforms to jump onto should be 2 blocks deep so that the risk of "overshooting by mistake" exists only in a couple places, not on each jump!
Even THEN such a level would still pose quite the jumping challenge *because Minecraft isn't a good game at all for jumping stuff unless you own badass hardware*. But at least, that way the difficulty would mainly lie in the puzzle aspect, not in the jumps! Especially considering that we have to succeed at about all 20-or-so of those insane jumps before reaching the top, without any way to "save" our progress midway, too.
I simply gave up after about an hour of frustration.
Since there is no way to skip a puzzle, this level which is essentially 99% insane-dexterity is effectively impossible for me, and that essentially breaks the entire rest of the map for me and for all players who are better at quick-thinking than quick-clicking.
Also, the in-game hint for that level is really but really really really useless. It tells to jump on the retracting block and another block would appear under it, while in fact the hint should be from above and not from sideways, and tell to jump on the block which protrudes, not the block which retracts, DUH. For a map that is otherwise pure genius design and originality, forcing the player to make so many jump-sprints, so many well timed and very precise jumps, on so many jumps, instead of a lot of very easy jumps with slightly more challenging jumps only in a couple places, that's a pretty stupid level design decision for a *puzzle* map.
For, is this really a puzzle map, where all levels are puzzles, or a puzzle map whicj mysteriously takes a Twilight Zone detour into platformer / parkour map territory for some of it's levels? Because if that is the case, then the dowmload page should have told so: "high intelligence AND dexterity required!" before sucking me in with 7 pure puzzle levels and then suddenly throwing me a game-breaking train-wrecking hammer like that.
I suggest you think about it, hard, because quite frankly this map generated *tons* of frustration for me, scores more than any "fun value" it otherwise had. I thought this was a puzzle map, not a test of my reflexes! I *already know* that my reflexes are bad, that is exactly why i play *puzzle* stuff, and never *dexterity* studff! That is why I play Minecraft, instead say Left 4 Dead. That is why I think your puzzle map is ruined by putting dexterity-based "so called" puzzles in it.
Such a hard-dexterity level has NO PLACE in an otherwise intelligent puzzle map.
I dunno, I found that if you hug the left corner instead of jumping right to the jerk-block that retracts into the walls, mid jump a block appears in the corner for you to land on instead. Then you do a 180 and the path upwards is clear enough. Took awhile to figure out though, like five tries but turns out I was over-thinking it. Didn't seem that bad otherwise. Maybe I'm better at jumping than I thought...?

there is actually a puzzle there. if you watch, the one block goes in, and another close one comes out.
makes the jump easier, no freaky fast moves required
edit: 2 sprint jumps required, the rest are do-able without sprint
Yup
