You start ad the overworld on a big floating island and there's two resource gathering area with a portal in each (nether & end). Half of the map is in the end (8 record area) and the other half is in the nether (4 record and 4 "block" area).

A thing I personally don't like is the star, 8 areas to chose between, it mostly always come very unbalanced in each area.
I did it like this, because then you can choose from all the areas. But then as you said the balancing is hard, so i give the player so much loot at the beginning. Some areas are really difficult, and the player needs to be well equipped to not die almost instantly. The harder part of the map is located in the nether.
I will update the map based on the feedback if it's too unbalanced.
This looks really nice! Unfortunate timing though, with Pantheon and Infernal Mines coming out.

I agree, not the best timig, but i started makeing this map like a year ago, and every time an update came out i got some new ideas to add, and borke the balancing so many times it's not even funny.
But I still hope people will play my map, if I put hundreds of hours into it.
This is really impressive. Sadly, I'm not a fan of using snapshots or pre-releases, but I'm bookmarking this and I'll make sure to give it a shot when 1.5 officially comes out.

For the sake of testing is don't mind if you "cheat". So for example it's ok to fly around and take a better view if you already beat that area.
I think the rest of the map is just as fancy as the overvorld part.

Bugs: When I entered the fountain in the town to go to intersection 1, I spawned under the giant star. I didnt have any building blocks, so I had to lose all my items to get back.

if its not, then fix it please.

Well... Since i can't spawn angry enderman, a spawn spiders instead, they also have dark texture and glowing eyes.
The principle is, if you aren't fast enough, you get knocked off.
The spawners are easy to fix in mcedit.
Damn, i've fixed it twice already (uses spawner and command block). Seems like every update has to break something. You may know, when you enter the end, you spawn always at the same coordianates, and that point is too low, so I teleport the player up.
Edit: The teleporter works fine for me. (In creative mode is doesn't teleport you)
It looks absolutely amazing. I think it looks better than a lot of Super Hostile areas, and most of them rival Titan Falls (from Uncharted Territory 2) in how cool they look. I am very impressed so far, and now I just have to play it, to see if the gameplay reflects the aesthetics. I really, really, hope it does.

I think some areas are too hard at the moment (some of the nether ones), but I want to see how much the player can take. Obviously I will make those parts of the map easier if it's needed.
