fangriiiiiddeeeeeeeee (please don't kill me I appreciate your work thanks)
Congrats on your victory! 23 isn't bad, that's only 5 more than me. We also appear to like and dislike the same areas, so that's cool. Why didn't you like Dormant Mines? It was pretty obvious where to go, and it felt really well balanced (plus the andesite is so pretty). I'm not saying your opinion is bad and you should feel bad, just curious.
I felt that Dormant Lake was far too easy (besides the Music Disc with the silverfish - that was my only real challenge in the whole area). Sure the bridging around and scouting for a place to go was tedious, but aside that there were hardly any monster spawners and the only monsters I ran into were natural spawns or silverfish spawned from the tnt blasts. At least Dormant Lake looked cool. But yeah, to go through the somewhat difficult Dormant Mines (which I liked) to the lackluster Dormant Lake, could've been more fun aha. And oh yes, the Andesdite was a great touch. More areas in CTM's need that.
great map, having lots of fun i have a couple of questions though:
1-I'm on the last 2 wool but i am missing 13,stall,strad,ward, did i miss them in a past intersection,if so,where? (i am asking because my computer sucks and i can't see the whole map most of the time )
2-The diamonds on
Miner's only rule
are the only ones on the map or there are more? i messed up while trying to mining it and everything explode

1. Regarding the Discs, yes you did! Some of those are back further in the map, though I believe two of those listed are in I5.
2. They're some of the few. There's more but not many.

On the topic of nerfing the map, I feel like potions might need more limits (removing soul sand and giving limited supplies of nether wart might be an option), since potions can really make areas easy. I'm mainly thinking about the Invisibility potion.
The problem is that multiple times, I have been able to bypass hard areas entirely, just by using invisibility potions. E.g. in the area leading from intersection 3 to intersection 4 (I forgot the name...), where I just ran through the last section to the wool with hardly any trouble (using night vision, speed, invisibility and fire protection).
In Windborne Spires I was also able to bridge between the spawners without the ghasts being any trouble.
I haven't finished the map yet, so I don't know if invisibility is useless in the last areas, but I will certainly try to use it to get through if possible.
I don't know anything about the spawning mechanics or invisibility effect, but is it possible to spawn mobs who are hostile towards the player regardless of the invisibility effect? If that is the case, then that might be a better option than nerfing potions.
What tools do you guys normally use for mapping? I know MCedit is pretty much essential but what about in-game stuff like World Edit and Voxel Sniper (outdated?)
I tend to make do with just MCEdit and in-game building, detail work, and loot/spawner placing. Some people do use WE and/or VS, but these days there's little you can't do in-game/with MCEdit. A helpful tip: Learn how to edit NBT tags and how to use command blocks. It is immensely useful for making spawners, loot, and other items.

Oh I see, I'm not the biggest fan of how MCedit looks, it kinda confuses me but that might be me being inexperienced with it. I think I'll have WE installed anyway, as for NBT I do know how to make custom spawners in-game. Thanks for the help ^^
If you want I composed a list of useful filters a few pages back in the CTM Community Chat. Let me see if I can find it.
Very good map. But I don't know where to go in Belly of the Beast and checked around this area and explored everything there. Is there no wool in this area? Any feedback would be needed

The Nether might hold some more information for you. Portalonomics might be a good idea.
So since I'm currently on the old version on the map (because my LP is in 1.5) I don't know if the Dormant mines area is changed in the newer version or not, but I figured I'd leave some comments on it anyway, in case it isn't, or they're useful regardless, since I beat it last time I played.
Aside from the ridiculous start I had in this area (like seriously, the moment I teleported to the area, a bunch of creepers, skeletons and zombies were right there in my face waiting for me) the area wasn't really all that interesting to me. This may come off as fairly harsh, but it's just my raw opinion and not intended to be mean or anything. Hopefully it's useful in some way.
Overall, I didn't really like it. For a couple of reasons.
1. I felt it dragged on after a while. Now, that's not because it was a big area, I don't mind big areas. But more because it was a big area, with not really much going for it. The terrain was pretty samey, there wasn't much that really stood out, the occasional silverfish spawner wasn't really that exciting and the explosions were far too frequent, so they just got kinda "oh, it's another one of those, ok".
This is even more so true with the Dormant lake area. It was just a giant empty area. Not really much of interest going on, it seemed like it was just made big for the sake of having it big. I feel the area would've worked better if it had been compressed a little more, because a lot of the time I was just walking around with nothing happening.
2. The silverfish in the tunnel after the fleecy box. Now, I dont' really have anything against silverfish, but honestly, at this point, they were really starting to just annoy me more than anything, because mixed with the above, I just wanted to finish the area at this point, and seeing the fleecy box made me think it was over. However, having a path (that I assume leads back to the entrance) be filled with silverfish spawners just really isn't enjoyable to deal with. Unless it leads to some other, third area, that path should be safe and just a convenient and easy way to get back out of the area after beating it. What it shouldn't be, and what it was, is yet another endurance walk of more annoying silverfish.
Now, before you say anything on that, no, I don't find silverfish dangerous. I find them annoying. I don't mind fighting them here and there, but when through an entire area, they're pretty much the only thing I'm fighting, that's when it becomes an issue. It just started to really annoy me, which meant it wasn't all that enjoyable anymore (which I assume isn't the goal of them, hopefully)
3. And lastly, the explosions. I already touched on this briefly, so I wont say too much more, but generally, they seemed to be far too common. The first couple ones were nice, really made me go "WHAT WHERE WHY", but after the 20th or so, they had lost their touch and just turned into "yup, there's another one". I assume they're meant to create some ambiance of sorts, but they just seem too common imo.
It's been so changed it's almost crazy, haha. It's now in Intersection 3, has an entirely new base block, is more decorated, and is super useful as it offers a steady supply of iron!
Thank you at least for taking the time to write it out! The Lake section could still use some improvements so your thoughts could help ^^
I actually really enjoyed the lake section. I'm sure it could be made better, but I have no idea how. One suggestion though, make the tunnel near the wool shorter (or just more interesting). I nearly ran out of torches and food (I had 3 stacks of torches and tons of food) trying to get through that thing.
Been playing through Pantheon so far, and I have been loving it despite all the stuff I have lost to lava/the void/the 5-minute timer! I've gotten all of the records except Chirp, Stal, and Strad. Judging by the hints, I think Chirp is in
the Misty Deep
and either Stal or Strad is in
the Windbourne Spires, with the other one being in the Nesting Grounds.
Would it be too much of a spoiler to tell me whether I'm right or wrong?
uh yea, but where is that area of what you're saying? I can't find it
Just in case you haven't found it by now....
Use the 1 use diamond pickaxes to break the obsidian blocks in "generators" section. After doing this, command blocks should teleport you to near an actual teleporter that will take you to the next part of the map. If for some reason the command blocks didn't work ........
Directly across from the generotor room, is an indentation in the wall. Mine ~10 blocks and you should find a hallway....
AKA: If you are walking out of the "generator" room, and continue straight along the mossy cobble path, you will run into an indented wall. Pick your way through here to get to the teloporter.

Only 1 of the 3 areas that you listed contains a record.

Part of your problems may be due to the fact that Chirp and Far's locations were swapped. You're right about one of the other two, but the last one... well, where have you seen beacons and a tower? Think about it.

Sorry in advance if somebody already answered this question, I feel a bit lazy :l
I keep hearing the ocean monument sound everywhere in the map. Am I the only one getting that bug? Or is it common?
I play in 1.8.3 btw.
Very common. I'll basically have to remove the Ocean Biome from the map if I want it to go away.
