Now with support for author rewards and downloads of Minecraft Worlds means we're introducing the Minecraft World download widget! The widget works in the same way the texture pack widget works, this time with the bbcode "world" instead. An example:
According to the dev team there was an issue yesterday with the file limit, if you try now it should work. Please let me know if you have any further problems.
I see, the problem is due to the existence of extra files outside of your root directory (eg: rules.jpg, story.jpg). I'll talk to the dev team and see if this is a problem that can be resolved.
Ok, thank you, I hope its possible, otherwise I couldnt use it...
I spoke to the dev team and apparently if you put files outside of the world directory it will cause problems with over-writing files. Place the files (Map.jpg, Readme.txt, Rules.jpg, Story.jpg) inside the "The Black Library" directory and then zip it up again.
Pretty freaking cool, but I won't continue making my texture pack until 1.5 is officially patched, and my parkour map is nonlinear, so that alone could make it release after a discovery for AIDS. And did I mention that I have a short attention span? *sigh* Maybe I could start over, and remake them for Minecraft 2 Beta....
Using this feature for my Monarch of Madness map isn't a problem, but my next project might be a different story. It most likely won't be done before the end of 2013, and it will contain multiple files other than the map, including the audio files for narration and some pictures.
My questions are as follows: Will this system continue to thrive by the end of the year? Will I be able to upload the map with all the necessary additional files without having to link users away from the website? And, although more of a minor question, what's the exchange rate between points and downloads?

curse.com has existed for about half of a decade now, the site is constantly in development and is the flagship curse product. I believe the author rewards program is currently being tested so it's not 100% guaranteed it will be kept around indefinitely but the actual file hosting part of curse.com will be.
Yes you can upload as many files as you like, they show up under "other downloads" on the project page.
The exchange rate isn't published, I believe it's not a flat rate and varies based on a bunch of factors. Your best bet will be to perform your own experiment by uploading your own files and seeing how they perform
I have tried to add a widget to my map post, but it does not appear. I tried refreshing the page, but that still does not work. I have used the world BBcode on an old post and it worked, but when I go back to check it... the widget is gone! Is there still some problems with the new widget?

That's very strange, do you have it uploaded anywhere else (mediafire, dropbox etc) so I can download and check out the file?
Sorry for the trouble so far, we appreciate your help solving this

What browser are you using? I can see it:
Google Chrome, although it may be my connection. It is fairly slow.
EDIT: Just opened the page with Internet Explorer. It showed up.
Yes, you can upload new files and the link won't change.

Thank you for any and all help.
Pretty nice, does Curse virus scan the file first?
