I love the map as well, but I cant stand how PigZombies spawn so much on my platforms in the Nether. There's also the fact that Netherwart grows so damn slowly that I just cant wait for it and I have to usually give myself a stack. In fact, I think if I do this map any more, I'm just gonna give myself any and all Nether Mob items and not even go into the portal.
You would be better off farming the pigmen, build a safe spot you can kill them all from, you will need gold and any swords they drop will help when you get to thaumcraft. As for anything growing slowly, it helps if you spend your time near them, if you only visit them to see if they grow they take forever!

Give them more space to spawn elsewhere. Expand your opening platform to at least 9x9 (I used 13x13) and then wall off a small area around the portal itself. If you make it right, the pigmen can't get at you, and with a Looting sword (very easy to do), Pigmen are the source for all things metal (using both the minium stone and the Thaumcraft transmutation recipes to make other metals from what the pigmen drop.)
update to 1.6 and i would be so glad as i am a fan of this map and i have to use FTB to play this.(ee3 has public betas out now and rp2 replacements redlogic and project red as they are very useful and redlogic allows custom circuits).
NO its a really good map, well worth playing, there are 58 pages of people talking about it and plenty of youtube videos, you wouldnt get all this if there were problems with the download.
It is hard to install,all the mods as it uses an old version of minecraft (cant use 1.72) and you need old versions of the mods that are used- they are in the download but people often have problems. This is why I tell people about the Technic launcher - Skyden is available to be added to the launcher.
It will download all the needed files and then you can play it - its much easier this way and you can play other modpacks like hexxit or tekkit and many others
I used a Descriptive Book to teleport to someplace with clay to get an alloy furnace. And when i teleported,I went to a flatland with all differnent biomes and it doesnt stop raining and i cant get back to sky den. Some help please!!
My NEI won't turn on. I have codechicken in coremods and the NEI file in coremods. It appears in my mod list on the title screen, but doesn't appear ingame. Please help. Also YES I have tried pressing O. Also. Gnollboss is not accepting my harming potion. It's tier two, yet it doesn't register for the quest.
I would like some info, without too much spoilers preferably. Right now I have almost all the music discs, but I don't have Diamonds to make a jukebox. I want to know if you only get access to diamonds right at the end or is there still a lot to do after that point?
Will this map be made compatible with the latest version of minecraft (1.7)?

I doubt it, as some mods aren't made for 1.7. If you don't want to downgrade Minecraft, Use the Technic Launcher, there's a modpack premade with everything.
