A long time ago, in the village of Eronev, a huge event occurred It was an event that shaped the way the village is today that the people will never forget. But they don't talk about it. It often hurts too much to remember the pain and suffering. Now is your chance to go back to that moment and play a part in the events that happened that day. A flood of epic proportions. Your time is slim, you must do your best to rescue those that are stranded before they drown. Can you save them all in time or will you be too slow and watch them all breathe their last breath?
If you're playing in multiplayer the difficulties are graded down. Normal is Easy in multiplayer. Hard is normal in multiplayer. The difficulties have been balanced for single player only.
This map is NOT compatible with certain bukkit plugins because it uses vanilla command block commands. If, for some reason, you didn't spawn at the beginning, the starting coordinates are: x:445 y:024 z:272 but keep in mind, this maps works with loaded chunk timers, so being where you shouldn't be at the wrong times could mess up the map.
Big thanks to everyone who checked out the thread and dared to risk their life for the safety of others.

EDIT: I have played the map once so far and I like it a lot. It had a new concept, it was short but long enough to add action, and it was a lot of fun. The only problem I had with it though, is that the yogscast did way better than me, and when the yogscast to better than you, you know you didn't do well XD
Very fun map; I really liked the way you took the "base" Eronov Mansion Adventure map and remade it slightly.
Here's my score (apologies that some of the text is a bit blurry - not the best screen resolution in the world):
Didn't do too badly, I don't think. Got a bit upset at the end because I pressed the "Time Dilator™" button after all the beacons went out and got stuck with the "You're so heartless" ending, even though I'd rescued everyone I could. Ah, well, guess I'm not getting elected mayor of Eronov anytime soon...
Anyway, great map! I'll be more than happy to play any new 'Eronov Chronicles' maps you make.

Note: Feel free to resubmit your map(s) and I will re-review it. Your score can never go down, only up.
Additional Feedback: This is a gem of a map. Here's the breakdown of my rating:
Story - Although it is a short map, the villagers that you are required to save each have a unique story to tell that add much depth to the otherwise simple story. My only complaint here is that the player isn't explained. Who are they? Why are they so determined to save the villagers? Still, this is only a minor disappointment, so a 5/6 for story.
Effort - The atmosphere of this map is flawless. Even without the rain, it felt like it was raining (if that makes sense). I was extremely immersed into the build. Very well done. Easily a 6/6.
Progression - The progression is outstanding. I love how the player is required to wait for the water to rise to a certain level to save some villagers and I really liked the hidden loot chests. My only complaint here is that there were not enough loot chests. I would have added chests everywhere with items such as speed potions and hidden easter eggs. This would also give the player an interesting choice: should they risk looting all of the chests for extra goodies or move right past them? Still, that's just me being picky, 6/6 for progression.
Mechanics - I saw a shocking amount of brand new gadgets and gizmos spread around the map that I've never seen before. From the new block 36 technology to invisible walls using heads, Jigarbov has used just about every single mechanic known to this day. Amazing, 6/6.
Difficulty - This was the strongest part of the map. While it is next to impossible to win the first time around, it is completely possible to pull off once you understand the layout of the map. A strategy is key here - without one, you're doomed. However, it was still possible to win without making a map. Once you've completed the medium difficulty map, Jigarbov also offers a harder version. I would say the difficulty is perfect, 6/6.
And thus, Jigarbov gets my first rating over a 28/30!
THANK YOU FOR SUBMITTING A MAP!

Also, I managed to save everybody on my third attempt on medium mode. Screenshot proof: SPOILERS!
Also, as a note to Jig:
Is it intentional that the player can escape the invisible head walls at the end and break back into the mansion? I found a funny little easter egg in there, so I'm assuming it is.
I don't play adventure maps too often, but I played through and loved Eronev Mansion, and I got through a lot (But ragequitted) Eronev 2. I think the story and lore told in the Eronev maps is good, and I like how The Flood played out. Unfortunately, due to me not being adept at killing mobs, ended up failing a lot and ending with around half of the villagers dead.
I'm looking forward to the next Eronev Chronicles map and/or Eronev 3. You did great on all three, Jigarbov

Thanks for the feedback! Pretty proud about that high score. I do have to point out a few things about the story though, there is a reason you're not told who you are and your motivations... but I can't tell you why. It'll be revealed in a much later map. In fact if I do more chronicle type maps, you might be doing things without motivation and the reasons could be revealed much later. They should be able to stand alone though without that information so it shouldn't effect too much. This event though does still have some pretty deep story elements which tie into the eronev lore which becomes apparent (more) after you save all the villagers as long as you listen to all the conversations afterwards

Thanks! You did pretty well the heartlessness is because you let people die when their beacons went out xD pressing the button only gets you to the end faster.
This... This custom map is EXTREMELY hard! I still give it a 10/10 though. Very well done. I love the use of command blocks as well!
Thanks! I am thinking about working on a super easy version to give people some more time to explore the world and read all the signs.... but I do really think it's balanced pretty well right now.
Very fun map overall. I didn't actually think it was that tough; on the second attempt I finished about a minute after the beach was completely flooded. I might try Hard mode soon, but not now.
