Thanks. I'm sorry if I'm being such a pain in the butt, I've just got into playing custom maps.
The more you comment in a thread, the more time it spends on the front page of the maps forum, and the more views the thread gets, which means attention hungry mapmakers like us love it when people have lots of questions and comments.
Is it just me or is this map extremely laggy? Are there redstone clocks? could u possibly change them to entity based area checkers if so. I dont have a very good computer but this map is giving me a 15 fps drop except in the back of the library (version 1.2 but probs doesnt matter).

There is nothing we can do to help. There are no clocks (well, there is a clock... but a physical timey clock, not a wiring clock), but there's a hell of a lot of redstone. Good luck.
You know the old saying "cheaters never prosper"? It may not always be true, but for our maps it is. Switching to creative mode and accidentally finding the ending makes a map tha doesn't really make sense. You did figure out quite a few things, and you seemed to have fun (at least at the beginning), so we are grateful for the playthrough.
You can rest assured that the latest update for the map gives the player just a little more guidance. (not to mention we made a guide pdf...)
Heh I know I cheated, know what I had to say, I was impressed by the plot idea, the red stone work, and the command blocks I assume, even if I cheated, so what. I had fun, and thats all it counts. Keep up the good work and have a great year

Wow. Let me just say right now, this map is great!
Now, for a more in-depth review:
I LOVE the builds. I'm perpetually amazed, as someone who can't work in the default texture pack, by the things that people can do in it. Every building is amazingly detailed and realistic but also unique from every other one - just like a real town.
The mechanics are outstanding, too. I have a soft spot for point-and-click/text-based adventures and you did a great job pulling off a game like that in Minecraft, which doesn't cater to that style too easily.
I liked the story, too. I haven't seen "Groundhog Day" but I do know the plot; this is definitely a homage to it without being a rip-off. But who doesn't like to see a mean guy turn nice? I thought the multiple endings were neat, too - they add a lot to the map's replayability (I ended up getting the girl)
I had some difficulty weeding my way through the gameplay (I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to take the girl out on a date, for example) but after looking at the 'Player's Guide' I was able to figure everything out no problem. I really appreciate you putting that together - for someone like me who tends to panic when something's "timed" (even when it really isn't) I like to have a guide at hand I can turn to.
So, again, excellent map! I've gotta go replay it now.

Thank you very much. We think with the addition of the guide and a few changes made in the last update, we've really gotten the map to where we want it to be, and feedback like this is not just nice to hear but also helpful for the future.

And stick around, custom mapping is fun stuff.

We're glad you enjoyed.
Also, check out the video by zoeiigaming... it's a quality production from a new face.
Well, we would love that. Maybe we'll see if we can get his attention.
There's a lot of information in this video.
