A Day in Tuscarora
John Johnson was a competent businessman with a nice management job at a large financial firm in the big city, but when his latest scheme becomes more successful than he had imagined he finds his life turned upside down when he is forced to relocate to his old fashioned home town. Will John's big city life style impress his new peers, or will there be big problems in this small town?
Map Facts:
A Day in Tuscarora is an RPG style Minecraft Adventure map that, like Deja Vu, utilizes a, never before used adventure map game play mechanic in conjunction with a unique story line and setting to provide to player with an immersive, thought provoking, and highly entertaining experience. We really can't estimate how long it will take to play through because it plays like a 1980's/90's point and click adventure game. As of now, we highly recommend single player.
There are officially 4 endings to this map. 3 of them are good endings, 1 of them is the bad ending.

"Wow. Let me just say right now, this map is great!
Now, for a more in-depth review:
I LOVE the builds. I'm perpetually amazed, as someone who can't work in the default texture pack, by the things that people can do in it. Every building is amazingly detailed and realistic but also unique from every other one - just like a real town.
The mechanics are outstanding, too. I have a soft spot for point-and-click/text-based adventures and you did a great job pulling off a game like that in Minecraft, which doesn't cater to that style too easily.
I liked the story, too. I haven't seen "Groundhog Day" but I do know the plot; this is definitely a homage to it without being a rip-off. But who doesn't like to see a mean guy turn nice? I thought the multiple endings were neat, too - they add a lot to the map's replayability (I ended up getting the girl)
I had some difficulty weeding my way through the gameplay (I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to take the girl out on a date, for example) but after looking at the 'Player's Guide' I was able to figure everything out no problem. I really appreciate you putting that together - for someone like me who tends to panic when something's "timed" (even when it really isn't) I like to have a guide at hand I can turn to.
So, again, excellent map! I've gotta go replay it now.

"quite a unique map! It was hard but rewarding in the end. Thanks for a great play!" - 13lydonc
Yet another map added to my "must-play" list... I'm hoping for something even more surprising and immersive than Deja Vu!
It's hard for us to make a call on how immersive or surprising our own map is, but we can certainly say it's different! Hope you get a chance to play it soon.

Updating to version 1.1. Only minor bug fixes, probably nobody will notice the difference.
I'm working on an RPG map myself. A very original one. I've always loved map making but never really found Minecraft's blocks and mechanics suitable to make an actual Role-Playing Game. But with the recent month's additions of Command Blocks and more customizations, I feel like that's really changed. I'll try this map to take a break from building.

If we're being honest here, we call it RPG/ADV because we don't really know what to call it...
This maps looks awesome, and by the other maps you've already made, I bet this is going to be an epic map, I will make a playthrough of this map for sure ;D
You'd be playing the role of the same character, you'd have to coordinate with each other, and you'd have to stick together at the end to win, but you can play it with two players. It's not so much that we discourage multiplayer,; we encourage singleplayer. That's the way it was built to be played. But it will work multiplayer.
Well that went quickly. I randomly found a cabin to sleep in, then someone woke me up for the festival. At least there were two full days, any earlier I wouldn't have even seen the (done-many-times-before) plot.
I have decided to have a bottomless spoiler as well, and am not the first but mine is bottomless (kinda).

I did play around a bit to find out what was wrong, because you should not be able to get to that cabin by accident, and eventually I had the glitch occur. It looks like this.
There's really nothing I can do about that, so that whole bit will have to be redesigned somehow to avoid randomly generated constant signals from nowhere (sigh...). We will fix it in the future, so your input is appreciated.
I never meant for that to come off as sass. I was joking more than anything, not trying to insult you.

I believe Vlad had similar problems in Chronotide. Use minecarts+detector rails to update the repeater.

It should be ok now. That signal actually only has to go out that far once, essentially. It's one of a few that lead into an AND gate that trigger a switch that only happens right before you reach the end. So what I did is move the AND gate much closer to the center of the map so that the long part of the signal goes much less often giving much less time to glitch, and by the time people trigger it once, they will finish the map 90% of the time. Basically, it should be good enough for now, I'll leave it like it is now until we have reason for a major update or we have news of the same problem occuring.
With that said, anyone who downloaded it before today should redownload.
I'm completely stuck. I'm only on the second or third day, maybe something else will happen, but I have the clock. Am I supposed to go back to the city? (If possible) Is the clock supposed to be the one guy's missing watch? I forgot where/who he is, though. I did go through the tunnel without exploring the whole city completely, and then suddenly woke up in "my" house, and a clock in my inventory. Great map though, watched CaptainSparklez play Deja Vu.

Let's see, since I last posted this...I have found a set of diamond armor and sword, after going through the basement of a house and going up the stairs into the house. There was a metal door blocking me from going outside and to the wheat field, and all the items disappeared once I slept. I may just wander around, waiting until it turns nighttime so I can sleep. The only thing different is "John's" thoughts as he wakes up. I try and click every lever I can, although I remember that CaptainSparklez hit all the levers on golden blocks in Deja Vu. I know there's a cabin over by the field too. I've tried giving my co-worker a mix of negative and positive responses. I don't know what to do.

Big hints!
The "day" advances as you go in and out of buildings. It's all about getting the right things done before the day ends. The biggest hints I can really give you are check the library upstairs right after sleeping and that you can get a check from the office you work in. And the "Kevin Steckel" really does change later in the "day."
I think we need to type up a player guide for this.

Had that happen to me too, except I actually found the cabin Suddenly skipped me forward like mad, waking up
with Gwen, having just re-met her mere minutes before in the high school.
I presume the door to the beach should be closed? I went, because I purchased the boat from the auction house and wanted to use it.
I'll be restarting to try and get the full effect!

Now Dotonmor will be 30% less original.
Great minds think alike, I suppose.
(And yes, I'm referring to the interactive story...)
Otherwise, looks...interesting. That's what I said about Deja Vu, though, so I'm sure this will be a good one.
