Just so you know, I'm really enjoying your advent maps so far. Currently I've beaten all of them except for Coastal Chaos (oddly enough, I find that one to be the most difficult). They're a bit on the easier side, but I don't consider that a bad thing, especially for those who want to play advent maps without worrying about the extreme difficulty of the abomination that is the Zero Mercy series.
Dev update 6! (again, week late, i was making advent maps this time)
So first off, I have canceled the remaining Advent maps for this year, and i probably won't do it again next year. Its just kinda stressful after a while, so i don't really wanna keep doing it. Feel free to enjoy the six i've put out though
Now as far as Speluncaphobia goes, i have been working feverishly to get the wall of The Fighters' Guild finished! It is the most complicated wall i've ever done, and then i'll still have to make the buildings so yeah, its not the best situation. But advent maps gave me a nice break from normal map making so i'm happy to get back to Speluncaphobia now! I've also done a bit of work on Fort Bleakstone, but not much note worthy. Also i've decided to change Dragonfire Castle to a new area but i'm not sure what yet, so i still need to decide that.
And finally the screenshot. More of TFG's walls and its newly done roof
So, i could sum up this entire dev update in "Not A Lot Happened", but i will explain the little that did happen.
So most of this week's work was planning, but not actually building. Dragonfire Castle is getting replaced with a totally new area, so I did a lot of pre-planning for that area. I also planned a bunch of stuff for Utopian District as well. In other news, the wall of TFG is FINALLY finished and i've moved on to the innner buildings. I've only worked on one so far, nothing to show off yet.
Hey are you going to upload more advent maps? How many? When? I'm very interested in record all your advent maps. If you don't know who I am, I'm famous spanish youtuber

Keep in the good work!
I am not making any more advent maps than are already up sadly, but feel free to play the ones that are out now
I installed Infamy's Lava Land but i spawn/appear in creative and i cant change my gamemode to survival, help me please
First, that shouldn't happen so i have no idea how that happened.
Second, go into the options menu and click "Start LAN" (or something similar to that, it says LAN in there somewhere) then change Allow Cheats to ON then you can change your gamemode to survival
This week i mainly worked on Fort Bleakstone, as well as doing some planning for the area that's gonna replace DfC. The new lime wool area is called BuckleBlast Foundry and will be a large, abandoned factory. Mainly lava and 'splosions for the theme, but i might add a few surprises in there for you guys :3
Also, to go a bit more in depth about Fort Bleakstone, its basically done on the exterior, i just need to do some interior work and then make the island that it'll sit on top of.
Oh yeah, i was supposed to post, sorry for forgetting guys D:
Dev Update 9
So this week i worked on Fort Bleakstone and BuckleBlast Foundry. Both areas are going well though less progress than i hoped was made in both areas.
So for Fort Bleakstone, I finished the fortress finally! Unfortunately, the fortress is now too big to import into the cavern i had previously made for it, so i have to make a brand new cavern for the area. Not a fun job, but one I will have to take. at least Fort Bleakstone is done and its very awesome, so happy i've finished it!
Now onto BuckleBlast Foundry! This is an area i love making so far! I finished the entry bit (Mining Site Delta) and worked on the first room of the foundry proper. Its not much to show yet, but i'm just so excited i'm making so much progress on intersection 2! I would now probably dub it 60% complete!
And now a picture of the first room of BuckleBlast Foundry proper

He mentioned that the aesthetic pattern was similar when he showed it on the CTM community thread. I'm fine with it. I don't claim ownership to a specific block variation or anything like that.

Not saying it is bad or anything, just didn't know if you would be okay with it All is good, I really like the block types though.
Dev Update 10 (waaaay overdue, i am so sorry guys)
So I guess I should start by explaining a bit about why I didn't put one of these out for the past three-or-so weeks. The short answer: There was nothing to update you guys on. Slightly longer answer: I have had (until recently) a complete lack of inspiration to work on my map. Nothing has come to me as of late. Now i've finally gotten out of that slump so i'll hopefully do these weekly again!
So BuckleBlast Foundry turned out to be a MUCH larger area than I anticipated. In fact it seemed a bit overwhelming, which is why I didn't progress any for about two weeks. More than just being big to play through, its about 90% interiors, which means i have to do almost all of the building by hand. This is what discouraged me for a while. However I've picked it back up and now have finished most of the first third of the area. (the area is split into three "Main Junctions" and i'm almost done with the first junction.)
So, now speaking in theoretical terms, here's what I want to do moving forward. After i finish the first junction for BBF, I will move on to making the cavern for Fort Bleakstone. The new fortress is almost twice the size of the original one, so in return i need to make the cavern twice as big. This is not an easy task, but it's doable.
After I finish up Fort Bleakstone, I want to go back through Intersection 1 and do some touch ups. Improve the aesthetics, add loot and spawners, and particularly add some farms to Lakeshallow Village. All this will be to get the map ready for I1 betas, which i will hopefully be able to do soon-ish(?).
Moreover, after I finish the I1 Betas i will go back to BuckleBlast Foundry, finish (or at least progress more with) that area, as well as work on/hopefully finish The Fighters' Guild. After I at least get some work done in both those areas, I will move on to Utopian District, the brown wool, and Intersection 4 itself.
And now a pic of the secondary storage, a room in BuckleBlast Foundry!
Hey guys, just a heads up that I am postponing the dev update until next week, because i'm about to (hopefully) make a lot of progress and i want to be able to tell you what actually happened, not what i'm planning to do
Dev Update 11! (yay progress!)
So I actually made progress these two weeks! Yay!
So I finished the first half of BuckleBlast Foundry, which includes a storage room, a smelting room, an ore storage room, and a staff lounge. It's all going really well and I can't wait to get back to the area! Also I aesthetically finished Fort Bleakstone, i just need to add lights and spawners to the underwater bit, do a little bit of building to Bleakstone Precipice (it still needs a solid path down from the top to the bottom) and finish the vaults where the actual wool goes. (its separate from the actual fort hence why i haven't finished it yet) Once I've done that the area will be properly finished!
However I've done some other stuff too! I'm currently working on interiors for the houses in Lakeshallow Village, and just generally finishing off that area aesthetically. I've added a farm and some lamp posts. After I finish that up I plan to tidy up Weeping Willows and Last Hold, then add the loot and spawners to all the I1 areas, so i can get I1 betas started! Hopefully this will all finish pretty soon
And now for a screenie of the interior of Fort Bleakstone
The good parts of it were finishing Lakeshallow Village aesthetically (woot woot!) and reformatting Last Hold. Turns out the main mechanic of the area, fighting a giant demon by blowing up its eyes with canons, while a cool idea in my head turned out to just be tedious in execution. I'm still holding on to hope that one day i can reuse the idea to greater affect, but until such time as that may come you will have to live with the Last Hold i have now. Tbh its a huge improvement! Even though i just changed a few things, it flows so much better now!
ok, now for the part that nearly drove me to insanity. Basically, I have been working on loot this week. Essentially i have modifiers system (adjectives that represent a certain set of enchantments) and i was busy making all the stuff to do with that. For better explanation of the concept check out TheSketch and TikaroHDs coverage of the topic since they're doing it as well. Just know that all i have left to do now out of the loot is make the axes/shovels and the armor pieces.
If you couldn't mine, it would be called Craft. If you couldn't craft, it would be called Mine. If you couldn't do anything, it would be called a ripoff! >:> My quiz-->http://www.onlinequi...assessment-1638
