This is a series inspired by Vechz and his Super Hostile series like maps. My maps will be 100% different in every way except the CTM style and the Wool Monument. CTM stands for "Complete The Monument" meaning get all the wools and then you completed the map. The rules of the maps are the same At the moment, the maps are under development, please wait patiently and give me as much support as possible!
Exile Series Standard Rules:
1) Find and complete the Wool Monument.
2) Find wool in chests scattered around the map, do NOT use dyes or spider string for wools!
3) You may craft the Iron, Gold, and Diamond blocks.
4) Use at least Easy difficulty, and never Peaceful. (I balance around Normal.)
5) Do not leave the boundaries of the map and go into normally generated Minecraft terrain.
6) Survive in any way you can think of. (Yes, you can mine, craft, and place blocks.)
7) You may use spider string wool and sheep wool to craft beds and other items, but not for the Wool Monument.
8) I hate you, die in a fire.
For the most part, Exile Series is like playing Minecraft normally, but it's more difficult and you have a long-term goal to work towards. Also you may find yourself in some unusual terrain. Oh, and the map is designed to kill you, so keep that in mind.
Exile Series Special Rules:
These rules may or may not be present on a map. If they are present, there will be an additional rules sign clearly labeled with them. (Not to be confused with the Variant letters of maps.)
A- Insomniac - You may not use beds, ever. You have to endure the nights.
B- Carnivore - You may only eat meat. (Includes zombie flesh.)
C- Vegetarian - You may only eat plants. (Includes mushrooms and bread.)
D- Jackie Chan - You may not use swords or bows in combat. (You better improvise...)
Exile Series Respawn Ratings:
Easy - You can die and respawn over and over, forever, without penalty.
Medium - If you die without having a bed spawn set, it's GAME OVER. Guard your bed!
Hard - If you die, it's GAME OVER. A true Super Hostile experience.
Minecraft Mods and Exile Series:
I balance around vanilla Minecraft, and mods that impact the gameplay are technically cheating.
However, there are some mods that are fine for you to use:
- Mods that let you chop trees at the base (Like Terraria trees)
- Mods that make Endermen not pick up blocks.
- Mods that make your hand-held torch give light. (Should be part of the vanilla game, IMHO.)
- Mods that don't affect the gameplay. (Graphic tweaks, UI tweaks, etc.)
You can't use Victory Monument, it's copyrighted by Vechs. Fix it up. Also, seems like you copied most of Vechs' post and simply changed the name of the series, doesn't give me a good impression, honestly.
Well, that's exactly what is going to be in my map, the rules are the same and such. I will change the name of the Victory Monument.
I agree with Easyplay, I don't like to play a map whose author seems lazy enough to not be able to think on his own. I'll still remember this thread though, if the map looks amazing I might play it!
Thank you, I am not meaning to copy Vechz, but this is the exact same concept that I am doing. I have been practicing making maps, so I hope it will be good.
