Thanks, but you will mostly like the great new update that I and Wolfie are creating; it's a teleportation system, an altar that you activate permanently. Once it's on, beacons suddenly activate, really cool. Oh and it's not free, the teleportation asks for a minimum level and spends part of it.
I created the altars and basic design, Wolfie is adjusting it and adding a very stylish "vortex of teleportation" when you do teleport. Anyways, stay tuned! =D
Excl and LogDotZip have started to LP the map now ;D
Also, I'm officially the Co-creator of this map now. I've done a handful behind the scenes, including all the terrain.png textures, and edits to Arkantos's original items.png edits, plus some tweaks to other textures. I guess he forgot to mention that
Anyways, just letting you guys know that this map is still very much in progress. I'm waiting for the next time I can send the work to Arkantos (missed him by two hours thanks to studying!). I suppose this update's version number will be 1.1.1; I'm still not fully sure how Arkantos numbers versions. For all I know, it may be worth a 1.2.0, but I'm not sure
Heck, may as well just call it the 'Finals Week Update', thanks to what's delaying it.

It may not look like it, but this update's actually preparing the map for some larger future expansions.
Once break starts, I plan to work on a utility to patch existing copies of the map with updates (yes, a map updater!), allowing you to keep your progress, items, farm animals, etc..., while getting the new features and bugfixes added in the updates. I'll also make a short guide on how to use it, of course.
Also in the future, there will be a Bukkit server configuration guide, complete with databases for the LWC and WorldGuard plugins. These will allow you to host the map on larger servers, where cheating would otherwise be an issue (vanilla is seriously lacking in cheat-prevention right now...)
We're also looking for a modder who can create a mod that adds a gamerule controlling the behavior of adventure mode (e.g. "oldAdventureMode"). The new gamerule would give Adventure Mode its old behavior: you wouldn't be able to place or break blocks, regardless of any circumstances. It should also work on servers, without requiring any server-side mods.
This would correct the major annoyance of accidentally placing blocks, and also stop cheating almost entirely. Because it would be a gamerule, it would not effect any other world you have, and it would not be required for the map. It would be fully optional, and would not have any consequences on your other worlds.
Once the Modding API is finally out, I may try to make my own, but the Modding API isn't coming this year, so we'd rather have something else in the interim.
