Hello it's toad3, and I finally got an MCForum account HOORAY!!! But that's not the point. I actually Posted this because I made a banner for Ron. Here it is I hope you like it
In case anyone wants to see it easier, here it is:
I will remove this when he gets back and updates it, oh and toad, this is actually really cool but I would upload it at a higher resolution because it's a bit small.
Thanks glad you like it. I'll start on the higher res version right now, oh and how do you get the image to show up properly?
You can film my entries. All I ask is to cut out all of the puzzles parts because i don't want anyone figure that out without playing or at least watching a let's play. You can film my entries. You have to uplaod the image somewhere, which i think you have done already. Then you click on the little image button above the textbox and past the url in there. That should work, it usually does for me!
Toad3 here's a wide version of your banner, you can download it and do what you want with it, then upload your version
Also i made a logo thing for the toybox, sorry Ron if your face looks a bit odd
Foamytrampoline that's exactly what I did to upload the image, Strange... And Priestbob I like how you edited my banner, and I will edit it, but only when the beta version of the map comes out. also if I wanted to make a logo, like Auracloud or Agamerofmanygames did, how big should I make it?
Really you should make any sort of logo pretty big, and then scale it down whenever it's needed for banners. Big is always good incase you need to put it on the front of the forum or something.
Okay, I made the logo, here it is //imgur.com/qvrnX" target="" data-ensure-absolute>" width="" height="" alt="" />
I've played 49 entries, from 29 unique authors. This includes all of the entries where the author told me it was ok to show theirs on video and have been regular commenters in this thread or on the videos.
I have 31 more entries to play, from 23 unique authors. I am most likely going to play the rest off-camera and do a video with screenshots or very short clips. But I might do a full playthru of some, depending how much time I have this weekend.
Even with minimal editing, the videos tie up the computer for rendering and uploading. I am REALLY glad I did the video TFIs, but if I hadn't I would have been done on time
Have decide what to do after The Forgetten's map for the run away exit? I was thinking of redoing the entire story and have the player fall into the cave. We can have my map be an entrance to all of the other cave maps.
3 videos covering 16 entries are scheduled to upload later today (Saturday, October 13th). Which leaves 5 entries for me to look at. I'm going to TRY and do the last 5 via livestream around noon, but not confirmed. If not, I'll definitely do a video in the evening. So, no matter what, I'm on track for my Oct 13th revised deadline!

I have a few specific ideas on exits, but nothing concrete. Next week I'll be updating a visio document that has all 80 entries represented with connector arrows. I plan to re-arrange quite a bit before it's finalized.
Trivia: 80 rooms in The Toybox have approximately 185 total exits.
If you think about it, that means I have a lot more exits than entrances, so some of the rooms may be looping or lead to the same place. It will definitely be linear branching!
I've been wondering from the beginning, are you going toake your own maps just to link together ones that dont fit well? And are you going o make some sort of begining and ending part with an overall story?
I am making a beginning, ending, and two checkpoints. Well, and a spawn area, but that's not really playable.
As of this moment, I am not planning on making any entries using the template.
In some of the Adventure Books, there were like four or five different stories. Each story could easily link to another. I guess they started at the endings, (4-5 different) and had a total of 5 routes to get there. One option in every choice could branch to route 1, another to route 2 and the third to the route it had followed previously.
If you're having a safe/easy route 1, you can always branch to that one from each template.

I was considering limiting the each of the 3 sections to 3 parallel paths that come back together at checkpoints. But honestly I am taking great thrill in looking at the 'natural' paths that might be formed by similar entries and letting the map build itself. I had a lot of fun looking at each individual piece, but I'm having MORE fun trying to fit the oddly shaped pieces into a single puzzle.

Congratulations on making your deadline! Would this livestream be noon CST?
Not confirmed, but I may be able to livestream a few Toybox First Impressions in about 24 hours.

The best reason to make a plan, is so that you can monitor how off plan you are!
My goal is to finish my first reactions to all of the entries by Saturday, October 13th. And then folks have until the 20th to send me an fixes.
16 more to test between Friday and Saturday.
