The goal behind this map, is for people to each create various parts of what will be assembled into a tower. This will then become an adventure map for the community. If all goes as planned, 3-4 separate entries will be combined by me to make one floor of the tower. The tower will have 12 floors total from bedrock to the sky. In the levels, participates will build either a dungeon or other environment fill with traps, puzzles, hazards, secrets, bonuses and goodies.
This way, a map will be made that takes hours for the player or players to finish but the creators will not need to make all of it themselves.
In addition to the level being released to the community, the level will be played on the youtube channel MHRcraft. The members of MHR will select the 2 best or most fun levels and those 2 people will be given

The folder contains the map and rules/expectations in a notepad. The map contains a box in which to build the level and a sample level built by me. When you finish, submit the levels to [email protected]. The deadline is September 23rd.
Objective for Each Builder:
Build inside the 100x100x20 box provided in the download map. (there are two folders in the Rar, so make sure "Tower Map" is the one in your save folder) Build a dungeon, environment, biome, that 1-5 players will have to go through. (Watch the info video at the bottom for addition building information.) Do not build outside the large box. I will be linking the tower pieces together when they are submitted back and will modify the out side of the tower if needed. Think about it this way, I have given you a dresser drawer and you can do anything to the inside. But If you do anything to the outside, I will not be able to fit the drawer back into the dresser later.
Story:
Think of yourself as one of the orignal builders of the tower millennia ago. You were in charge of a certain inner section of the tower that was meant to keep those who would go through it from reaching the top unless they were determined. If you want to add story/myth elements to your level you are more than welcome to. If you don't want to, don't worry about it then.
Rules:
You can only submit 1 level so make it your best. (thank you Xiaolin99 for asking)
Do not build outside or modify the 100x100x20 box
Do not remove bedrock
you may replace the stonebricks in the 50x50x20 box
Do not build above the box as part of your level. Another level will be placed directly on top
of yours so keep everything inside the box.
Start your level at the marked entrance of the box and finish your level at the marked end of the box.
DO NOT build portals to the nether
1 player alone must be able to play the map but you may add group challenges. The map must
be able to support up to 5 players however.
The map should be winnable
The map should be playable with mobs on or off (mobs will be suggested as on)
The level must be playable in vanilla. No mods.
Your level may be simple or complex if you follow the above rules.
Members of MHRcraft and associates can build levels but cannot be considered for the prizes.
My designs for the tower can only accommodate about 30-40 people. But, If by some craziness more than 40 people submit levels, I do have ideas on how to work more levels in such as alternate paths up parts of the tower which would be really awesome. Rest assured, I will includes every level entry in the map as long as they conform to the rules and everyone will be considered for the prizes. So please take your time with your levels and don't be in a hurry to be the first one to submit.
I'll help. What shape is the tower? Does it have to be square? Also, What are the notes supposed to say? I don't have any context of where we are in the story.
Can I add a little myth into my level? Like a question posed toward the creators, and a little story as an answer? I have a nice idea, and I thought it might add a bit of fun/meaning to the map!

The shape of the tower will be square. I need people participating to build in side the box template I provided so I can link all the other entries together. What you do inside the box is up to you though. Rooms, cities, forests, whatever. There don't have be notes or story unless you want to add it to spice up your level. I added notes in my demo level to help people who are building. You could just have players go through with no indications of what they need to do or prompt them if you think its needed. If you want a better idea of where we are in the "story" think about this way. You were one of the orignal builders of the tower millennia ago and were responsable for providing your building expertise on this one floor in order to keep the less determined from reaching the top. Hope this helps.

It's your level and I think that would be a great idea! You are more than welcome to tailor your level as someone who asked the creators a question and add that to your level. I am sure a lot of players like having a long dungeon crawl peppered with information on the towers history or the culture at the time ect ect

Great! Good luck with the level. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.

Yes, I am looking for each person who makes a level to only make 1. That way they are super well crafted and thought out by each person.
