Have you ever felt like you were rusty when starting an Adventure Map? Have you ever died many times because of this?
Well that's about to change, with The CTM Warmup, you will be warmed up and precise when you start your next CTM map!
The main objective of the map is to get warmed up for a CTM or Adventure map that you will be playing, or any combat based Minecraft play. There are four records hidden in the four levels of difficulty in the map. Find these to be crowned the title: Warmed up.
Feel free to check out my Minecraft addition suggestion on adding a glowstone dust property; glowing effect when placed on the ground. http://www.minecraft.../topic/1376833-
Standard Rules:
1) Use at least Easy difficulty, and never Peaceful. (I balance around Hard.) 2) Do not leave the boundaries of the map and go into normally generated Minecraft terrain.
Change log:
1.0 - Map Release
1.1 - Fixed Spawn Inventory (Added some creative ways to start the map).
1.2 - Added some clarification signs, and fixed a couple of holes. Added torches and Jukeboxes.
This honestly was easy... Very. I haven't completed a single SH map, and still thought this was easy. Struggled a bit at the last dungeon, but got all the records very easy. Played on normal.
Well he did call it "Warmup" and not "Super Hard Death Map of Deadliness."
You should give out some torches, it's annoying to have to use the lava bucket everytime, but still nice map :3
And the wooden house thing can get burned by the lava quite fast...
That was a Zisteau gimmick, and I didn't give torches because I felt that it would make the areas have no combat. I didn't just want people to run through the places "lighting it up" and then have no warm up.
I feel stupid asking this question, but when you say '1) Use at least Easy difficulty, and never Peaceful. (I balance around Hard.)' Does that count for the 'Peaceful' level, or is it just called that as in terms of diffuculty?

Yes, each sub-area increases in difficulty from peaceful to hard. I just used those terms because that's how Minecraft defines the increase. They do not infer to changing your difficulty settings for each area. You should play on easy, normal, or hard mode for this map.
I just downloaded it. Also, nice topic about glowstone. I actually found that first.
I just fixed a blocked hole in area 1 and updated the save, if you want to re-download it, it should be fine. If not the first record room is enclosed. Thanks for downloading it. Hope you find it helpful!
Poorly executed. You don't give the player torches in a map style that's all about lighting up spawners?
Torches aren't a last resort, they're a must have. You can't call this a ctm warm up, because running through a deathtrap with very limited ability to make it less dangerous is not what you do in a ctm! You light the area up, go back and kill some mobs chasing you, break some spawners, and continue on methodically assaulting the area. This isn't a freaking mob survival arena!
You stated in an earlier post that running through an area placing torches takes the warm up part away and leaves no combat. There will still be combat, especially with the load of spawners all over the place.
There's a difference between hard and annoying/cheap. Learn the difference, fix this disaster.

The lava is just sort of optional I guess.
I will have to fix that, I forgot to delete my inventory
Edit: Fixed Spawn Inventory (Added some creative ways to start the map).
There are no mobs because I was just taking screenshots. There will be mobs.
Also, this is a warm up map, so it will not be as hard as a CTM map.

There's a sort of dungeon in the back right of the room.
