Based on the popular BBC series this map places you as the Doctor, trying to help the Ood, and find K9, on a mysterious world made of cubes.
Rules:
No Placing, Crafting, Mining, Brewing, Smelting, Enchanting or Trading. Exceptions: you may destroy melons and other food, and you may also place cakes. The furnace with the coal in the first village may be used only to smelt raw food into cooked food. You may destroy leaves in the Jungle to help you get to the village there, though it is possible to without (we've done it).
You may keep anything given to you in chests, except for the two Gold pickaxes you are given in the captured village and the Jungle village. These have no need in the map other than destroying spawners, so get rid of them when you're done.
No mods, hacks, using a different texture pack etc...
No using the in-game cheats, it is perfectly possible without them.
Co-ordinates are not precise, go to near them to find the safe-house/task.
No taming wolves (except for the exception) and no taming Ocelots.
Get rid of all mobs drops, except for food.
Play on at least Easy difficulty.
Download the resource pack here<-----------Download this too! This resource pack is required to play this map.
Version 1.2 will have some things to do on the long walks, more Doctor Who references, a Cyberman Base, Skaro, the Teselecta and a completely re-built Tardis. It will also make the Dalek Base harder, and anything else you suggest! There will also be, soon after v1.2 is released, Multi-Player support for the Doctor and a companion.
This map doesn't use mods, but, if you know of a mod you believe could improve this map, let us know! If we like it, we'll have it as another download for those with that mod.
Here are some screenshots:

The storyline (this is a spoiler)
After crashing in a mysterious world made of cubes (and losing K9 in the process), the 10th Doctor is immediately called upon by some Ood to save another Ood village from the Headless Monks. When that's finished, the Doctor continues on his quest to find K9. After saving an Ood village in the jungle from Cybermen, he discovers that K9 is held within a Dalek base. The Doctor manages to infiltrate the Dalek base, and de eventually escapes with K9 and destroys the base. He returns to the TARDIS and flies off in search of more mis-adventures.

Update log:
1/9/13: Updated texture pack to a resource pack
Due to Minecraft 1.6, we have updated this map's texture pack into a resource pack. The only changes between this and the last texture pack is that it now works for 1.6, and we've replaced Minecraft's default splashes with Doctor Who-related ones.
14/3/13: Updated texture pack
Due to Minecraft 1.5, we have once again updated the the texture pack to be compatible with the latest version of Minecraft.
23/10/12: Updated texture pack
Due to Minecraft 1.4, we have updated the texture pack. We ask you to play on 1.3.2, or Easy on 1.4, as mobs can spawn wearing armour now on Normal or harder, which spoils some parts of the map.
7/9/12: Released v1.1
Released v1.1, fixing some errors and adding some new things. Once again, please let us know of any errors we can fix, or improvements we can make.
6/9/12: Released v1.0
Released the first version of the map. Please let us know any errors we can fix or improvements we can make.

Thanks. It was the first thing we came up with, expanding the whole map around it. Though we couldn't go anywhere without the Daleks, whose base is currently being worked on, after I've sorted out how to fit in all the redstone systems.
PLEASE mail me when this map is done! I am gonna do a review of the map BTW so look for it on the YouTubes!
Thanks! I was hoping someone would! Make sure you link it to this forum.
I hit some slow-downs with 1.3.1 bugs and no SPC for it, but 1.3.2 has fixed the bugs, and I'm managing okay with no SPC, so it should come out soon! I have to finish the trap tower thing, but I've already built a prototype, so not long at all!
I don't know if the storyline would allow for this, but you could have a Pandorica-type finale where all the baddies go to Skaro (the Nether) and you have to fight them in an epic final battle.

Good idea! Version 1 is almost out (just building the Tardis then it's done), but we're planning to make a second version afterwards, and we could certainly put that it! I was going to use the Nether for the Tessalectar (because of my awesome Antibody texture) but I could put this somewhere, certainly! Maybe after you've got into the Tardis, you fly to this place for 'safety' but, being the Doctor, you find the opposite?
Edit: We've decided this will go in the Nether after all, thanks for the idea!
Well, I do the Forums while my friend, the other person working with me on this map, designs stuff and builds some stuff too. I don't know if the Tardis is done yet (it is 9:50pm where I am) and then I've got a tad more redstoning to do to the Dalek Base (a nightmare without Noclip) then we're ready to release version 1.
If you need any help, I am happy to be of assistance XD
I would love to help make this awesome map
I've already had a friend offer, and two of us is enough, as only one of us can do something at once. But, if we need another Steve working on this, I'll let you know!

Well actually, one part (which I shall not yet reveal) does get blown up if you are successful, so you should like it.

I will but, a question: did you simple copy jtepp's answer and delete the first sentence? Because your post is his second sentence exactly.
