Puzzle Castle is just the puzzle map you've been searching for! It's not a bunch of long, boring mazes and impossible parkour runs -- Puzzle Castle is a collection of real puzzles that will truly test your IQ, problem-solving skills, and Minecraft knowledge! Give it a try and let me know what you think in this thread! I'm always open to suggestions.
Rules, tips, and other such things:
--The rules vary from room to room on this map, and there are signs
to tell you what they are.
--There are also occasional "Tip" signs to help you. The puzzles get
more difficult as you go on.
--Play on Easy difficulty. There is no heavy combat, but a few of the puzzles would be spoiled if there were no monsters.
--By default, mobs should not spawn, but if they do, type "/gamerule doMobSpawning false" in the chat bar.
--No mods, of course... that would be cheating!
--Finally, I encourage you to think outside the box. Some of the solutions may not be obvious, but keep at it and you're sure to succeed! Good luck, and have fun!

Played through this map today, and I had a few things I wanted to bring up here.
First of all, congrats on making an enjoyable puzzle map. It was fairly low-key but enjoyable none the less.
Next up, did you intend for the player to wind up with a whole pile of blocks? I only destroyed items when the map told me to, and by the final room I had enough blocks to completely skip the puzzles and just pillar up to the exit.
Finally, in the room where the player is given three blocks of redstone ore, I'm not sure how the player was supposed to proceed without a pickaxe to harvest the dust, as just breaking them with your fists accomplishes nothing. There were a few other instances where It seemed I needed a pick and one was never provided (Or if it was, it was very well hidden), like when the player is given a stone block and a stick to make a lever, which needs cobblestone.

Anyway, good luck with future projects!
I Think you were supposed to keep the wooden pickaxe throughout the whole map.To the creator: I think in the last room you still need some rules (No multiplayer commands,No creative mode) - or maybe make some rules constant throughout the whole map.

Thank you so much, it means a lot! And as for those puzzles where you needed a pick, for the one where you make a lever, you should still have your wooden pickaxe from a few rooms before. You can use that. I intended that you could climb up using blocks too, almost like a reward for being more resourceful! Also, did you know you can smelt redstone...?

You're right, I hadn't considered making a rule against mods, I thought it would just be common sense. I'll include that later!
That would be great, thanks! You can never have too many videos, and besides, I like watching people solve my puzzles! Let me know when you're finished.
I just spawned outside the castle, is there a trick?
Hmm... That's not supposed to happen. If you have any mods you should cheat through the bedrock into a small room with golden doors at the corner of the castle. That's where you're supposed to spawn. Were you playing on a server?
My friend and I did a playthrough of your map. Part two will probably be up tomorrow.
Cool, you guys are pretty good! At least, when you do something wrong, you realize it afterwards! Except when you broke that clay, the rules said you were only allowed to break the gravel. Also, the no-clicking part was only in the small room before the room with the sugar cane. Other than that it was a good video!
Hey i'm doing a lets play of this, check it out here!
I watched it, quite short, I guess you'll make part 2 soon. By the way, the sign said you could only break the gravel, but you broke the clay. You weren't supposed to do that.
This weekend, Puzzle Castle reached 10,000+ Downloads! I'm so happy so many people like it and downloaded the map! I will soon released Puzzle Castle 2, and believe me, it is even better than the original! I'll post a link here once it is uploaded. I hope you all enjoy it as well!
