X-Map #1 - Haunted II v1.0
This map is a Remake of my very first CTM map.. I spent A LOT of time on this map, so I would really appreciate it if you give it some love, share it with your friends and tell me what you think about the new "Haunted." To me when I was Beta Testing it, it felt a little like a Vechs map to me. This is also the first map I have used MCEdit in. Hope you enjoy!
This map is a 100% underground map. With challenges in every room from Crossroad 1 all the way to Crossroad 4. I enjoyed playing this map myself. And I look forward to any requested styled maps in the future.
This Map is an Open Sky style Map... You are basically on an island and you have to Survive and Complete The Monument.... Personally, When I played this map I got SO mad when I kept dying... So if you are up for a challenge and think you can do better then me and not die 25 times, then make a Video of it, I would love to see you try. > : D [Credit to Rytuxas for the style of the Volcanic Island] (Ya I know that the entry sign says v1.0... This map is surprisingly well made for me creating it in 6 days. I honestly don't know how I did it in 6 days. But besides the fact that it took 6 days to finish it, it is an AWESOME map in my opinion. You may not agree, but I know for sure that Ruined Caverns is a really fun map. With excitement and death, I don't think you will be able to finish it in HARDCORE Mode. It has 3 Crossroads, and in every room there are TWO Wools except for one room and the room with the white wool. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Good Luck.

Now, I don't have the time to play this map myself, but one thing I can see that kind of makes me less likely to play this map is the fact that all of the rooms in the pictures are squares or rectangles. Add some more realistic walls, and the immersion will become far greater.
Great for a first CTM map! The only problem is that it's too fast paced. Ten minutes in, I have full enchanted diamond armour, enchanted diamond sword, enchanted bow, and stacks of food. My compliments on 'Haunted Laboratory', and 'Treacherous Peril'. Suggestions:
1.) Improve 'Dangerous Forest', possibly make it outdoor. It was quite weak.
2.) Make the areas longer. 'Egyptian Terror' and 'Blazing Fotresses (should be Fortress)' had the wool right up front, not much action in that, is there?
3.) 'Haunted Laboratory' was a nice dungeon, in my opinion. Maybe extend that kind of building? It wasn't just a straight path to the wool, it was more challenging and interesting.
4.) Now, about the squares and perfect spheres. Boring and bad looking. Maybe play around with a few MCEdit functions?
5.) I loved the special item names. Still not sure about what to call the enchanted iron pickaxe. Maybe throw in a 'Maxonian Blaze Rod' for me?
Love the map so far, keep up the great work!
Alright. I actually haven't finished the map, but I have some feedback-
-It's best to let the player get resources. By giving out a diamond sword with insane enchantments, that's great. But without that, you might be left with stone swords. Giving a set of enchanted iron armor is great, but having some veins of iron ore might be better. Then if you die, you have back-up armor.
-Why all the coal and torches at the beginning?
-Same thing with the square rooms.
It wwas ok I guess. It seemed kind of easy and everything was a square or a sphere IT was fun to play though
As you can see, most of the map areas are square and the mines and cavern are spherical. When I looked at this overview, I found it surprising that the spawn was next to the fortress of death. I also labeled the crossroads.
-Make a hidden shortcut that goes to the VM.
-Make the rooms more enticing. Cubes arent that attractive.
For a first CTM map, I'd give you a 7.8/10 It was good but it was ugly to look at.
