MiniCTM maps are similar to standard CTM maps, just smaller. In each of my maps there are 3 Wool Blocks, 2 Metal Blocks and 1 Challenge Block. The Challenge Block must be crafted
from 9 'Challenge Block Fragments' (Emeralds) that are hidden throughout the map. There are only 9, so don't lose any!
MiniCTM [C01] Sandstone Version 3.10 for Minecraft 1.8.4 or Higher
Welcome to Sandstone. This map is a complete overhaul of my very first CTM map of the same name. Sandstone is pure desert; hot, arid, surrounded by lava and filled with Creepers. You’ll either need to be tough enough to overpower the creatures that reside here, or clever enough to outwit them, if you hope to stand a chance of taking back the land. Find the 3 wool blocks, craft the 2 metal blocks and collect all 9 ‘Challenge Block Fragments’ to craft the bonus ‘Challenge Block’ to complete the monument. This map features; Custom Spawners, Custom Potions, and Custom Item Names with Lore Text.
MiniCTM [C02] Happy Love Version 3.10 for Minecraft 1.8.4 or Higher
Have a relaxing experience and take a break from all those hard CTM maps. Happy Love starts out in a not so scary world – filled with great equipment, pathetic enemies and an endless supply of cows. Though be warned, don’t try to progress too far unless you want to risk being thrown into another world. A world quite different. There will still be great equipment, but you’ll have to fight for it. And forget ever seeing daylight again… Good luck!
MiniCTM [C03] Float Version 3.10 for Minecraft 1.8.4 or Higher
A world once not unlike our own. Hit by an unknown global event, the land was ripped from the surface - stuck floating in the sky. Make your way through this foreign land where any misstep could have you falling for a very long distance. It is also rumored that there is a rift opening somewhere close by and through that rift there is an entire ship full of explosive creatures waiting to break through. Stop them from doing so, if you can remain alive long enough...
#1. By the time Joe Hills finishes the map, we'll of either have seen the series and lost interest playing it ourselves, or have had lost the interest altogether. Not to mention, it will take a very long time for him to complete it, so it seems kinda useless.
#2. Supporting Joe Hills channel is nice, as for I have watched him present to this, but I feel like your taking it a bit "overboard". It sounds like you want everyone to give him views, likes, and favorites, so much to where your willing to have us suffer the wait. What's the point in that, forcing people to do such a thing? I mean, there's good intentions, but bad mind play.
The map looks really good though. I'd love to give it for a whirl.
Thank you all for your feedback, I'm honestly considering what you are saying. In the time in-between however, know that I'm making small tweaks to the map as well as working on my second map. No-one here knows who I am, so I was hesitant to just post a random map. I've watched Joe Hills before, I asked him to play my map and to my surprise he said yes.
To respond to "advertising" or "business plan", I have no intention of making money from this. I may throw up a donate button if I keep at it and have like 10+ maps... But that would be a ways off.
My only goal here was to get some excitement going about my map, and help out someone that I think is doing good stuff for our community.
I'm really excited to get feedback from everyone, and looking forward to any other Let's Plays of my map, and future maps.
Thank you all for being interested enough to post how you feel, stay tuned...
WOOOT Great map dude i can imagine like a hundred o these since I'll guess they aren't that hard to make (if they are im sorry) but yah cool coffee bro!
The natural stuff is pretty easy to make, it's the buildings and layout that can get a bit challenging.
ALSO: Joe Hills has posted episode 3 of his play-through, check the first post for the link if your interested.
And a small update, I'm still working on my map, I still have like 6 locations to create, I have 4 of those already planned out. Still just 3 Wools, but this map will be bigger than the first one, at least it feels bigger.
I may release a smaller easy map in between, we will see.
Please post what you think of my map after you've played if you haven't already! I'd love to here from as many different people as I can.
Is this still being worked on? This thread hasn't been updated in a while
Sorry, I have been working on my next map, but it could be anywhere from 1 week to maybe 2 weeks till compleation, but I am close. The final areas are the hardest because I want to make sure they are good.
