Unbreaking on the pickaxe and the shove with Smite X were definitely major changes. Moving the gravel back made the skeleton archery ranges many times easier to conquer as well since I wasn't confined to a one-block wide hallway.
I went for the armor chest first, which was actually quite easy. Once I got two or three skeletons infighting I could just run along the side annihilating the spawners. Any other skeletons that appeared could be quickly killed with the shovel The second hallway was the same way. Though with the chain armor I decided to just rush it more.
To get through the Funbox 2.0 I blew up a TNT block in front (after using all three potions) and then ran in using the knockback sword. After one creeper exploded and killed the others, all real difficulty disappeared. The blazes were no trouble since I had the potion, the cave spiders poisoned me once, and then got killed in a creeper blast. By the time everything was done I was at the intersection with the brown wool, which I then spirited away to the Sacrificial Altar.
That's as far as I played. I looked around the main intersection a bit though, which is a lot quieter with no mobs spawning on the bedrock. That was actually quite disappointing, so possibly add a few obsidian patches on the ground under there? Overall I like that it's harder than the original, but not impossible like v1.2. I'll let you know/continue video making on how this goes.
So, ummmm... Is there food at the start of Subconciously Challenged, or are people going to have to use zombie flesh for a long, long time?
You have some Pork Chops in your inventory. Those should keep you going for a bit. Your main source of food? Giant tree.Go apple crazy. For bonus points, make Golden Apples from zombie pigmen and keep the flesh too.

Well, you still have Ghasts. I thought the areas were hard enough so I didn't want to go overboard. A small oasis, if you will.
Also, nobody has found the enchanting room yet or the ultimate prize chest. I might have to make a dev commentary one of these days. Although that requires the purchase of a decent mic, Fraps, and a good editing software. Go big or go home, I like to think. Unless it comes to maps. Then cry in a corner after everything goes down the shitter thanks to your crapcomputer. :<
I've tried your maps a few times nopw and I realized I suck at Minecraft. Now I'm gonna play Xekaj's trainings map until I finish it. Then this will be a piece of cake.

You're funny. I still haven't finished it T_T I get to the maze and then HELLO CREE- boom.
Small sidenote too - don't play my maps with the latest snapshot. It apparently removes all enchantments. Anyone who's played my maps knows why this is a problem.

I take it the room hidden under the start of the parkour area is one of them?

What, the cake? Nope. The ultimate prize chest is worth it if you can find it, but you risk death like 100 times to get to it. I will never say where it is. Unless I eventually make a dev commentary. :3

You wouldn't happen to be talking about the chest with diamond swords, lava buckets, iron ingots, and golden apples would you?

P.S. Dev commentary would be pretty sweet
I might be.
$10 says you didn't find that legit.
I guess it would be sweet, though when time will permit, I suppose. And money, at that. Being 15 years old and lacking a paying job does not make for a good money situation for said aforementioned video. We'll see.

$10 doesn't extrude much confidence. I actually found it while I was practicing speed running the original. About half way through I got bored and tried to see...
...how possible it was to disarm the coal ore trap.
You guys are SCREWED. I'm listening to my motivational song now.

Alright.. I tried your maps (well, two of them), and I must say you have some pretty good ideas. The only problem is, these are TOO hard. In my opinion, there are too many spawners, too many mobs, and not enough light or items... On Vechs' maps, he often puts glowstone in places to cut down on monster spawns to make it possible to play his maps.. I died as soon as I spawned on your skyblock dream map and I have no idea why, and when I used NBTedit to make the game regular survival and respawned, I had no idea how that map was supposed to be possible with the potion effects that made it impossible to mine or attack things...
You had some good ideas, though, like the first challenging room in the bedrock map. I liked your idea of having the skeletons spawn and shoot at you as you jump (I actually was planning to do this kind of thing in my own map that I'm making right now ) . I also liked the room place in the spider lair where the pigs were supposed to step on the pressure plate and spawn blazes and spiders from the dispensers. Then you ran and fell down a giant hole thing to be caught by spider webs, which was really cool with the spawners above you spawning things on your head. I guess I didn't really have a problem with the insane amount of cave spider spawners at the bottom, that is until I had to turn around and go back up... I didn't even have enough blocks to get to the top (which was my fault actually XD ).
So at the end of this long comment, I have one question for you: Did you ever play through your maps and not die? If so, you're obviously a much better combat person than I am..
