I am roughly halfway through this map based off the video index and have to say that I am absolutely loving it! I really love the way you have set everything up in this map. It is a difficult map, but it is not so overwhelming that I find myself spending more time walking back to my death point than I do enjoying the map. I really love the hidden chests also. It gets me checking every nook and cranny along the way which has helped me find the first three texts.
I noticed someone complaining about the fact that two of the texts were split between the two pathways you have to choose from. My only suggestion here is that there should have been an easier way to backtrack through the right path in the case that you took the agility route on the left. Finding a text on one side seems like enough of an indicator that there is also one on the opposite side. Realizing that, I was able to go backwards through the agility side and quickly find the third piece. Though I personally recommend going on the right side; it gives you a sense of accomplishment once you realize how to open the doors!
The method used to open the entrance was very clever and kept me stumped for a quite a while. At first I was searching all around the mountainsides and tossing items in random holes in the lakes trying to activate a hidden pressure plate. After discovering how to move on, I felt somewhat inclined to backtrack and see if there were similar methods of opening secret areas in previous areas of the map.
I have to say, this is probably the most fun I've had on a custom map yet. I love the texture pack as well as the narrations used along with the map. I look forward to what lies ahead and hope that you will continue to release such wonderful content.
i know theres a Texture pack in the .Zip But its incomplete becouse we arnt supost to use those items in-game but can you make a full one fore us so we can use it outside of your map becouse i loved it that much?
I finished this map yesterday, and i must say that it was AWESOME!
some things i have to say is coming up now. WARNING SPOILERS!
It was really fun that the maze in the castle looks very super hard, but the actuall solution is just walking forward all the time
Another thing, at the place the path splits the 2nd time, i took the parkour path. In the battle room i lost all my arrows and later, in the decivers lair, where you need to shoot ender crystals, i had to spawn myself some arrows :/
i give this map a 12/10 BECAUSE IT IS AWESOME AND IT DESERVES ICE CREAM!
Seriously, You did an awesome job! I played KOTS 1 and now i'm starting the KOTS 2. Keep up the good work, bro. I'm still just starting the 2nd part, but I'm sure to love it as I did for the first part. So far, I love what you did and your story is very interesting. You did everything that an adventure map required to make it entertaining and addicting. Let's start the part 2, and if you ever do a part 3, you can be sure that I will play it too

EDIT: I just finished Kots 2, and seriously, I just can't wait to see the 3rd part. Everything is well made in your maps, and its just challenging enough for everybody. All the places have its own environment and are very representative to what you wanted to bring in that new map. Very, very well made
I also thought about something. I know you have been doing these maps on normal minecraft, but I was wondering: Why not on AdventureCraft? I'm sure people already asked you that before, but this mod would totally help you making these maps (monsters spawn control, NPC control, easier circuits to make, control on everything a player touches and limiting players to destroy anything, ect...). This way, your maps would be even more stable and even more fun to create as you would have all the tools you need and it would probably help you making more maps more easily. Well, if I'm just repetetive and that you already answered to that, sorry hahaha. It's just a suggestion if nobody ever suggested that to you yet.
I played KotS and KotS2 with a friend and I got to say that those are really nice Adventures Maps

There is one thing that I don't understand though. As much fun as we had, we could NOT place any Torches during the entire journeys.
In fact we couldn't interact with wheat's garden too, it was impossible to place the key for the bridge in KotS1. We had to cheat/change mode to survival for a moment to place it then change back to adventure mode. Enchanting weapons wasn't possible either.
No error messages, it was just doing nothing. Like clicking in the emptiness of the air
So Yup it's possible to do the entire maps without any torches (it even add some challenge) haha. But that was on normal hey. On Hard it might be a little different ! xD
Searching on this forum and google, I didn't find anyone else who got this "problem" ...
Of course this must be a mistake somewhere in my server configurations, but I really don't know where.

From the looks of things, the Zombie texture needs to be updated on the custom texture pack. Also, a lot of the 4x4 piston doors aren't shutting all the way and I can't use the flint & steel to open the way to the burden* :/ It's a good map for the most part but the little nicks and quirks are a real downer, hope these get fixed soon
*I just realized that it probably had to do with the Anti-creeper griefing mod I installed, I'm betting that there were other features it neutralized, such as using Flint and Steel. Derp, oh well. What might be good is if this were updated to accommodate the changes in 1.4 so that you could turn off Mob Griefing, then Creeper explosions wouldn't be an issue
The texture pack no longer works. Several of the textures just need replacing or updating. Is there an updated version of the texture pack for this map?
