Thanks This is a survival map, so you can play with it as long as you want. The time it takes to actually complete the challenges depends on how fast you try and complete them. It could take a few hours, a few days, or a few minutes. It is in anvil format, so using it in a version before 1.2 won't work.
Over 800 downloads now!
Though I can't actually tell so a lot of those are probably people re-downloading it, but I don't care

^^Thread is very outdated, but the mod is coming soon^^
Cool Cool. Looks like this is going to be a fun map. Just installed 1.2.4 just for this map I was still playing 1.1 and waiting for mods to update, but in the mean time ill have some fun living in an awesome castle on a floating island in the middle of nowhere
So far its been fun got a good challenge without being overly hard. One thing that is a bit annoying at first is all the dang creepers and only a wooden sword to fend them off with. But thats kind of part of the fun of the map. One thing i could suggest is more redstone like hidden pistons doors and stuff like that. Several of the rooms with bookshelves seem like those should be hidden doors or secret chests.
Now im no were close to having explored the whole map, so i could be wrong about some of what i just said, but thats just my first impressions.
I have one quick question. is there a way to get into the armory without breaking the iron bars?
Yeah, creepers **** me off when im playing this map :l Your best bet is to run like heck to cover at night till you have better gear. The reason there aren't many elaborate secret doors is because there really isn't anywhere to hide the redstone , and in my opinion exposed redstone makes maps look poorly made (unless its purpose is to be glowing dust on a trail or something. The armory is currently inacessable, as I plan to have it only reachable by traveling to the Nether structure then returning through a portal found in that structure. Obviously the Nether structure doesn't exist yet
Yeah the creepers aren't to bad just here and there they have been known to "creep" up on me and scare the heck out of me
I do think that redstone areas would be cool. But at this point it would take just about an entire remodel of the map. What i do think though is that you should keep that in mind if you ever make another map. Personally i think even simple piston doors or things like that just add that little bit that your map is missing, kinda like a bow on a nicely wrapped gift. But those are my thoughts. I also think more secret rooms would be nice to find. you should add a rule like you can only break snow, or white wool, or something of the sort and then hide chests and secret rooms/tunnels. You could then make those secret rooms part of the story of the map. Such as a secret brewery, or a hidden dungeon were the worst of secrets were kept.
But honestly, theses are just extras. The map is great the way it is. But more is always great to be seen Keep up the good work. And i hope you make it to 2000 downloads
@RandomSteve Oh trust me, there are a lot of secret rooms And on the other smaller islands you can break whatever blocks you want. In fact, you have to to find their respective secret areas. Thanks for the feedback
@SIR_Creeper It is? How did that happen O_o Ill go check... EDIT: Works fine for me. Anyone else having trouble?
Btw, right now the download number is nearing the 1200 mark
Thanks Though that doesn't really show the map in a positive light, so while im happy you did a playthrough, Im not gonna put it in the op, where im supposed to be convincing people how awesome the map is . THanks a lot though, as I found two other LP's of this in the related videos that I had no idea existed XD
