HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! YES, I AM AWARE THAT LIGHT YEARS ARE A MEASUREMENT OF DISTANCE. ARE YOU AWARE THAT LATER IS A MEASUREMENT OF TIME? IT'S VERY COMPLEX I KNOW BUT, IN ORDER TO AID THE READER IN UNDERSTANDING A LARGE LAPSE IN THE TIMELINE OF THE STORY IN WHICH THE PROTAGONIST(s) HAS BEEN TELEPORTED 1000 LIGHT YEARS AWAY FROM HIS/HER HOME PLANET, THE SECOND MAP PICKS UP RIGHT AFTER THIS "DISTANCE" WAS TRAVELLED THUS, MAKING THE TIMEFRAME "1000 LIGHT YEARS LATER." ie AFTER (later) 1000 LIGHT YEARS HAVE BEEN TRAVELLED. I ALSO REALIZE THIS COULD HAVE BEEN WORDED IN A WAY THAT WOULDN'T CONFUSE ALL YOU BRILLIANT ASTROPHYSICISTS WHO APPARENTLY HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD TO WATCH PEOPLE PLAY VIDEO GAMES ON YOUTUBE WHILE LEAVING SNARKY REMARKS ABOUT ME AND MY MAP BUT, THE AMOUNT OF REAL ESTATE FOR PROPER WORDSMITHERY ON A CUSTOM EDITED IN-GAME MINECRAFT MAP ITEM IS SMALL. TIME AND DISTANCE IN SPACE IS BIG. I MADE COMPROMISES WHERE I COULD. THE REAL FAIL ON MY PART WAS MIS-REFERENCING A POEM/SONG BY SOLE AND THE SKYRIDER BAND CALLED "" (could have sworn it was 1000) SO, IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE WITH THE MEAN COMMENTS ON YOUTUBE YOU SHOULD CALL ME OUT ON THAT.
Alternatively, you could come to my house and wave your telescope at me in disapproval or something but, I live a long distance away from NASA headquarters. Probably about 1000 miles or so. After you've made the pilgrimage from your hallowed grounds of space knowledge to my humble home or, 1000 miles later, we can measure our telescopes competitively.
Oh, three, I love you man, you are a brilliant wordsmith/astrophysicist/ladies hand model xD
Now, a rant about OOGE: I'm really disappointed in OOGE so far. Standing atop the super sword of Mr. Foot, staring into the water: "I don't know what he expects us to do."
DOH! Are you kidding me? how many CTM's have these dudes played?
Of course the commentary is great, but the progression is awful.
They end up in places, that are obviously part of the functionality of the map, and are completely clueless about it.
At least B-dubs stops and takes screenshots of the scenery, and constantly talks about the beauty of the map (I watch his point of view mostly)
The other thing that is disappointing is when three dudes are standing in front of a door filled with mobs, and they just stare into it, trying to decide who is going in! MAN UP!
I love OOGE and watch most of their collabs, but I'm not gonna caress their balls like everyone else! Anyway who am I? I have no room to talk with my 417 subscribers (haha). Also, I don't think they have Lights out installed, due to the lag spikes they are getting.
I just had to get this off my chest (since they don't reply to comments/messages).
Edit: I do understand the amount of drunkeness involved in their playthroughs, but I often drink when I play and no one knows xD
Howdy! I haven't been over in VFland for quite a while now! But don't worry, I'm still alive.
It looks like more and more people are complaining (thinly disguised as asking a quesiton) about the difficulty. "I couldn't get out of the spawn area!" "There were too many spawners!" "This trap or that trap is unfair!" Well people, if you don't want difficulty, don't play a ROM-hack hard map! I mean this in the most respectful way possible. But when you're getting into a map that's gonna take probably weeks and weeks to complete, you could at least bother to learn a little about it first, right? Vinyl Fantasy isn't for everyone. But if you just can't complete it, turn to Creative mode and fly around the map. It's absolutely amazing.
Hi there guys, in this episode I work out a way to get into a dangerous place with very few materials. Minecraftia is the mother of all pointless invention afterall.
As always playing in hardcore, and watch in HD!.
Vinyl Fantasy on hard with Luna and Bree. We're using the 1.3.1 update now and for some reason we got changed into Steve for this episode. This is Shitty Christmas. Enjoy.
I wholeheartedly agree with the esteemed Mr. Lem.
Except for the 417 subs part. We Lemmings may be small in number, but we make up for it in sheer awesome!
Also, imagining Lem drunk is a scary thought. I'm going to have hilarious nightmares tonight thanks to that thought-seed.
Aww, Optimist!
This was your very first post, and it was about me ! Good to hear from you man, I occasionally come across your amazing comments on other peoples videos, and it's awesome we watch the same humans!
YouAlwaysWin are very popular minecrafters, and they were playing your map, and half of their fanbase is jealous so they all yelled at them that the map was terrible and they stopped eventually.

Meh, "popular minecrafters" means you have an army of 10-12 year old fanboys pulling your strings? I couldn't imagine waking up everyday to the fact that I was simply entertainment for children. I would probably just try not to wake up anymore or, get a real job.

That's three mass invasions within the same bloody month! I mean, seriously! The UDTU is attacking now, Blue has a sleeper attack coming soon, and now an invasion by space pirates? What is this, Russia if every american-made FPS happened at once?! - MagicallyDwarven
I have a Question. How do you make the big enclosed areas without getting lighting errors? When I use mcedit to make something hollow, I always get lighting errors.

One simple way to prvent the "Sunlight in huge caves" bug is to use kamyus "add ladders" tool. By placing an invisible ladder in every empty 16x16x16 section, this bug will be prevented. Note that the aldders aren't visible, but still have htboxes. Falling mobs/players might get stuck on them, arrows too, and to make it even more painful, enderballs also. But the chance to hit one isn't that big. Link

Just use MCEdit to "relight" the affected chunks. Select area with lighting errors, go into the chunk control tool on the right side of the bar, select relight. You'll only be able to use this on small areas (max size of 256x256 up to 512x512) The operation doesn't seem to work on massive selections. As long as you load the map in-game in MC v1.3+ there should be no more lighting errors. in 1.2-1.2.5 you'll have to use the Lights Out mod to correct the skylight errors.

Is anyone else getting an ad for the video game Final Fantasy on the Vinyl Fantasy thread?
Oh, the irony. Intentional?
WAT? Who?

This isn't hardcore.
