Is this map a prequel, or a sequel to Tri? On both map posts, it says that they're prequels to each other.
I mean, it says that Tri is a Prequel to Quad, but on here it say that Quad is a prequel to Tri.
Hi, I'm having a bit of a problem that always seem to affect pre-made maps I use including this one. You see, the map started out fine. I found the first cavern on the first island, went in, got the goods, all that neat stuff. I came out 5-10 minutes after starting the map. Now it gets worse. Snow had overtaken almost all of the southern half of the starting island, and I could see it visibly spreading at an insanely fast rate when no such snow had been there to start with.
I know what the cause of such a problem is, which is normal land being made in a cold biome. The moment weather starts up, snow forms and spreads like wildfire. It never seems to stop after exiting the cold biome (which I can see from using a minimap mod), freezing ground and water alike into annoying snow and ice. All attempts to contain the spread are so useless that it might as well be a zombie virus that I'm trying to stop. I have found a fix previously using WorldPainter, which is changing the biomes of a pre-snow invasion version of the map to have no cold biomes (pain in the ass, but it works).
I had this problem back with another map called the Minecraft Island Adventure Playset. No idea why this seems to always happen, since normally-generated maps don't get devoured by snow and ice like pre-mades. If you could try to find a fix for this (I'll be trying to remember the WorldPainter biome-change trick myself meanwhile), I'd appreciate it. If I get a fixed version ready through WorldPainter, I'll let you know.
Edit: I've attempted to fix the biomes with stellar results, only to encounter wicked nasty chunk errors (huge raised/lowered sections that cannot be edited out) upon saving the new version. Doesn't matter if I've loaded the world in Minecraft, converting it into the Anvil format. I get chunk errors regardless. Until that is fixed, I suppose it's stuck like this with the cold biomes, sorry.

Correction: He says that Tri was the prequel to Quad on here. I guess you may have misread it.
How do I use the file? I'm really bad at this stuff but I wanna play the map.... I downloaded the files with WinRAR but I don't know what to do with them... please help me, any assistance is appreciated...
"I don't plan to add a new dimension at the moment. It's just to performance heavy on servers, and the current dimensions need more attention before we start adding new ones." < Yeah, like biomes or actual varied terrain in the nether. Nether ruins didn't do the trick at all.
A direct sequel such as something like "Pentuple Mountain survival" or just another custom map made by me? I have already made an amazing new map called "The Heart of Darkness" if you want to check that out.
How bad is it? Has anybody else had this problem?

It needs converting for me too. Part of the land is also destroyed because of this D:
Dakota.
Higher mountains FTW!!!

Pretty sure Nova's already failed this, several times over, but I don't think he really cares about the challenges as much as everyone else.
In after!
