I've just finished the DRAFT OUTLINE of the story, and it looks like I'll have 14 encounters.
7 weeks to build. Need to finish 2.5 per week to allow time for testing, texture pack, trailer, and other things that start with t.Can someone paste me a link to:
Diagram or video of a redstone circuit that counts an input up to 5 times, and then turns on an output?
Added a very basic banner, revealing the map title.
If you'd like to make me a better banner, please feel free! I probably won't fix it up until nearer the end.
100% of design complete
16x texture pack is 33% done. If Mojang supports 32x without patching, then I may switch to that resolution. Wouldn't mind finding an expert texture pack partner.
Prototyping for most simple mechanisms is done. Thanks to Jigarbov for some advice.
I have a seed, and about 5% of the landscape. Nothing "built" yet.
Unlike Mars Mission, where I created most of the textures "just in time" as I built each encounter, this time I've outlined all of my target textures and where they'll go. Creating the textures first, and then building with them already existing. Not yet sure which is the better approach, but I'll know in a few days!
16x texture pack is 33% done. If Mojang supports 32x without patching, then I may switch to that resolution. Wouldn't mind finding an expert texture pack partner.
I wouldn't call myself an expert but my textures are decent and I'd be willing to help. Fair warning, never done 32 before, just 16 and 64. Strange how that sort of thing works.
"Link Master" just got an email with a high level storyline sneak peek. (Link Master was the first person to find my secret puzzle ending in Mars Mission).
I'm going to be doing some texture pack testing tonight - and hoping to share some screenshots here!
The 'storyline' is getting longer and longer. I think it's about two-thirds written.
It will be on all in-game signs (like Mars Mission or Eronev Mansion).
I believe I'm going to need over 150 signs so far. Good grief!
I'm slightly worried that I'm not going to have enough physical room to put them all along the path of the seed I had planned to use.
This is amazing I cant wait until it is finished hope you get a lot of downloads. Also would you mind making a lets play section on your forum I would love to make a series for youtube out of this map.
