Thanks for giving it a try, and good luck! It'd make me even happier if you decided to record your adventures and put 'em up on YouTube or posted 'em here!
Great map so far, I'm searching places for secrets. The Hermit's hideout is my main base, and I looted Fort Flowering. I converted the sandbox into the sandstone box to.
Since it's a non-renewable resource, I wanted players to have as much as possible, in case they wanted to make a very, very large building or miniature biome out of it. :3

Yes, except for some reason a large chunk of land near spawn is in a snow biome, making everything except the snow cover and ice legitable.
Agh, damn. I hate that. Notch changed how biomes work for no good reason after I started on the map in either 1.7 or 1.8, so that snow isn't supposed to be there. But I don't think there's anything I can do to make it go away without forcing players to download mods. Ah well.
... Wait, I've got an idea of how to accommodate it in a way that makes sense, but it'll take at least 20 hours, if not 30+, to pull it off. Ugh. Note to self: v. This update just keeps getting more tedious.
Ooh, good job on finding your first easter egg; they are, by far, the hardest things to find.
That one wasn't hard at all XD
I was playing around, since I wanted to ground all the floating islands. Also, I'm heading back to spawn to search for a nether portal. I think I can probably beat it. Though, thanks to how big the chests are, I'll have to take at least 4 trips XD
Ahhh, yeah. If it helps, you could make some good ol' fashioned gravity rails; shaped like \_____/, ladders would carry you to the top of either end, you place a cart, jump into it and let gravity carry you as far as it can.
Hmm. Maybe I should replace the iron rail shipment crate with powered rails... And the glass blocks are kinda redundant when 99 out of every 100 steps you take are on potential glass. Maybe that could bring the total to 3 powered rail crates, to help make traveling easier...

Yeah, but the glass crate is kinda insta glass, which is nice. The iron rails are good, but only if they're nearby the powered rail shipment to. That way it's easy to get both and construct minecarts. On another note, wish me luck in the Nether!

I've already started a couple raillines. Problem is, I need more powered rails, and I haven't found that shipment crate yet.
