I just wanna share the first map I've created, it's probably only like 10 min of game play at the moment, but I just downloaded this mod a couple days ago and am trying to learn all of the basics.
Story
It is a Zelda adventure, and you do play as a young boy named Link. But it is a seperate story, different time period lalala. Now if anyone is still reading I'll explain the story. Link was in a sense found by these people(the ones who live in the village) and they kind of took him in as his own. He lives in a small treehouse in the woods, and the villagers don't often see him come out. One morning his fairy(Not Navi) wakes him up because she feels something is not right in the area. From leaving the forest and entering the village you soon find out strange things are occuring. The door to the villages sacred temple has been sealed shut. And the training grounds where the villages were able to practice there fighting skills has been infested by a pack of angry wolves. By entering the villages "Mansion" you'll enter a cutscene where you find out that the Mayors daughter has gone missing. They request your aid in bringing her home, then he will unlock the ruins door and your adventure begins...
So if you could just check out, leave me some feedback that would be great.
Like I said, I am new to this. There's is one problem I'm having, it seems every time I'm testing out the map everything is fine. But when I save and come back all my memory blocks are still receiving signal. So I thought all I had to do was "F6" them all and save again. But it still does the same thing. Because of this lack of knowledge I must emphasize....
PRESS "F6" RIGHT WHEN THE GAME LOADS
.....Otherwise you wont get the full effect of what I've worked so hard to make.
Please leave feedback, I'm open to any tips or anything. I just want to make it a lot better. If this does well I will release the next part(under construction)As soon as I possibly can. Thanks!
So over the last day or so I have been working on fixing/improving this map. That is when I have the time. Anyways here is a list of some of the many improvements I have made to the map:
+ added 10 hidden chests with iron ingots in them.(These can be used in the shop to buy a better sword)
+ local chickens to the village. :wink.gif:
+ added first quest. (Activated by entering the mansion)
+ finished 1st mini boss arena
+ fixed players not receiving there sheild
+ 2 new buildings added to village: Money Exchange & Mansion
+ got rid of unnecessary audio files(making the file 200x smaller)
+ got rid of the infinite key and sword in the ruins
- cannot access ruins until "Stewerts" quest has been activated.
So with this new update, the first area "should" be completely playable. Please let me know if there is anything wrong with it when you download it. I will be adding a few more updated picks to this post.
Please enjoy! And leave some feedback! I only want to make this better. :smile.gif:
This update just adds one more quest to the village, and has the semi-completed 1st dungeon. By semi I mean I'm planning on making it a little prettier. :smile.gif:
Like always, download please, and give me feedback, I've already gotten so much help. :smile.gif:
Thanks!
Update! v.1.1.2a
Ok! The dungeon looks much better now! This update should make the area plus it's dungeon complete and playable! Please download and leave me some feedback, thanks!
Zelda Quest(Demo)
Ok everyone, I've spent the last few weeks or so working on a map. It Zelda themed, mainly because AC makes it so easy to be that way! Haha. Anyway, I have released a Demo version of my map.
So far it includes:
-2 Mini Dungeons(Very Short)
-1 Main Dungeon(Earth Temple)
Several Places featured in popular Zelda games, such has:
-Hyrule Field
-Kokiri Forest
-Kakariko Village
-Lake Hylia(There but not accessible in demo.)
-Death Mountain(Also there but not accessible yet.)
-And Gerudo Valley and the Snow province are coming soon.
I realize there are a lot of Adventurecraft maps that are Zelda themed, and a lot of them are very, very good. Mine is just started, like everyone else did. Please if you could support me in this effort. I'm not asking you to spam the link all over the forums, just PLEASE play it or attempt to just once. I really could use feedback, every bit helps!
I'm about to take some screenshots so you all can see what I've done!
looks pretty good...do i need to have the zelda test before the updated version? and this goes into the .jar file yes?....is it just the map or is there a mod included?

wait...what? what am i doing with my minecraft.jar file? thought i was supposed to use the adventurecraft.jar file?....lol...sorry for the confusion...its early and i need to sleep soon but i'm trying to help you...do i put my minecraft.jar file into the AC folder? then install?...
Liked it ! A bit too short though, and you should not give the shield over with the sword at the chest with the sword.. you can buy one at the shop :wink.gif:
Ok, any suggestions on another mini quest to get the shield?
Because the shop is supposed to be just an optional thing. If you can find the chests. Or I could remove the shield from the shop and just add something else random.
And yes I know its short lol. I was just testing out the mod, but I you think I should continue developing more I will :smile.gif:
Dum de dum dum... Well I wait, does anyone know how you get your map listed along the others on the "download a map" section of Adventurecraft? Do you have to contact the creator or something?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Want some Zelda-style Adventurecraft playing, without the same storyline everyone else has used?
Check out Legend Of Vincent here!
hey my friend....I figured it out and got it working....and it is amazing!!!!!! Keep up the work on it for sure and get the finished product you want...I may do a video on this map for youtube if you don't mind...this is definately worth telling people about!!!!
Please leave me some feedback :smile.gif:
I'm trying to make this map really good! :smile.gif:
Good stuff! I like that it's not all modded for Zelda (I don't like such things, it loses the classic feel) yet it's still clever and fun! Very good quality to have! Note that your items ARE in infinity mode when in the chest, you might want to change that, it looks weird and you definitely shouldn't have infinity keys I'm assuming. Time to continue playing your map!

Either that, or your map just gets really popular and the creator hears about it and puts it one there. It's all about the ratings. :smile.gif:
