I totallty deleted everything, re-did it all and books still don't show up..ugh I really wanted to play this map :sad.gif: Btw what is Meta-Inf? I can't find it in any of the files.
I deleted my entire /bin folder just to be sure everything is 100% original and unmodified...
Followed EXACT installation instructions on map and mods ( I am NOT new to this...)
If I add the .jar files manually I get a black screen when I load up MC...
If I use MC patcher to add the files, the game runs, but no books or NPC's...
So, I really suggest you stop the: "read the FAQ" canned response and try looking into what might be causing the problems to so many people on getting this to run.
There is obviously something wrong with the mod pack... my MC patcher shows this in the log file when I run the map: (Since apparently this is the only way of you seeing that it is not a bad installation, here is the whole damn log, say goodbye to your mousewheels)

Well, I really want to play this map, since I've only heard good things about your work, but I think you really have to look into maybe one of the mods creating a conflict for some of us and making your map unplayable.
Waiting to hear a solution soon, hopefully :sad.gif:
I have a few points to make regarding this BRILLIANT mod:
1. I can confirm that mcpatcher may cause issues if used with the mod pack depending on your pc. I instllaed mcpatcher and all I got was a black screen however when I tried the game with only optifine it worked like a charm.
2. I am having an issue with torches where after a while the last few placed do not create light and then the game crashes with no errors at all.
apart from number 2 the map works like a charm, if only aramis worked as well.
Hey what mods did you use to make this? My friend and I want to make an adventure map but don't know what we need. Do you need adventure craft to play adventure maps?
I suggest that you put it iin the OP to only use Optine HD(not Optimine, not Optifog) for the map. That way, MCPatcher wont screw up everything like it always does, & you can keep settings & previous mods that are confirmed to not interfere.

BTW, Tell me if you found the blacksmith at Quest 3, please post here (you might probably dont find it, i think its a bug, but need to be sure)
That blacksmith is a NPC? Cause if it is i've found a random NPC next to a Rumor chest, in that little village water well, the first village u stop at the station

Oh also Lolo, when ever it rains, "raining" sits up the top right corner of the screen... Some how to fix this? Not too annoying, but it kills the mood a little.

Followed EXACT installation instructions on map and mods ( I am NOT new to this...)
If I add the .jar files manually I get a black screen when I load up MC...
If I use MC patcher to add the files, the game runs, but no books or NPC's...
So, I really suggest you stop the: "read the FAQ" canned response and try looking into what might be causing the problems to so many people on getting this to run.
There is obviously something wrong with the mod pack... my MC patcher shows this in the log file when I run the map: (Since apparently this is the only way of you seeing that it is not a bad installation, here is the whole damn log, say goodbye to your mousewheels)

Yeah, your installer solved the problem for me, hopefully for others too...
Guess there is something wrong with MCPatcher applying the patches, but then again putting them in manually didn't help...
In any case, the installer worked! Awesome job!
Guess from now on, you should always try to stick the installer in there, just in case.
