I started a new series on a map style I have only seen once before. Was inspired by the Ant Farm map. If you get the time, a review would help a lot. It's "The Great Cheese" map. Thanks. http://www.minecraft.../#entry13614285
I am finished with yours, here is the review.
Just looking at the screenshots I am already inpressed. WOW! I cannot wait to get started!
The map itself was beautiful, I really enjoyed the view, even though the map was HUGE!! Like the perspective is probably what makes it so fun to just navigate around. *TIP* I had no idea what I was looking for, I found one of the lamps and I turned it on, later on I died and went to check in the monument room, and I didn't know which light I had turned on, the fact that we are constantly getting attacked by mobs, prevents us (or at least me) from being able to know where we are and what exactly we are doing.
I did not finish the map because (a) I died and lost everything, (b) I got lost too many times, (c) like I said above, I had no idea what I was looking for, so the goal of the map was quickly lost.
I give this map a 23 out of 25 possible points.
Thanks for the great submission Verques.
My map, Oresome, THIS IS GIAGANTIC, GO TO NETHER, there are several portals to more zones

Review is done, I feel like I was just robbed of a part of my life.
I am not very impressed by the screenshots, I feel that your building style doesn't have a little something, that is unique to you. I hope to see better builds in the actual map. I am not sure what this map is all about, there are no objectives or challenges listed in the thread (normally at this point, I would click the back button on my browser and try a different map). The description is not specific as to what the point of this map is all about, it just says that there are some stuff in the town and it tells me where I spawn, because I really care that I spawn in a large house, I can figure that out by myself when I launch the map no? And as I start the world, Minecraft detects that the world is not already converted to Anvil.
When I do finally get in, I notice that I am running in creative mode... I am totally confused, I am not sure if that's supposed to be like that. Since this is a survival map. This map has no direction, nothing makes sense. I quit the map because it was not a spectacular town, if there were some quests, fighting and objective, maybe it would actually be fun, but right now, all this is a poor build and no information as why this is a survival map and not a creation.
I give this map a 3.5 out of 25 possible points.
Which earns this map the Worst Map So Far Award (WMSFA).
The screenshots of the fortress look fairly impressive, it looks like a build that the person who built it gets attached to it (I know the feeling, I used to make maps as well). I did not find any specific information as to the rules or what type of map this is, maybe it's there, but I cannot find it.
Well, the build was really nice, but there was no objective so the map got boring fairly quickly. You spawn with amazing items, so even with mobs, it's really easy. *TIP* Add challanges and objectives, puzzles would be perfect.
I give this map a 13.5 out of 25 possible points.
And that is all of the reviews that I am going to be making for today, stay posted for more.

Thank you for a great review. I don't get much feedback on what players like or dislike or what may cause them to quit maps. I am nearing completion of the second installment of this map with 2 more rooms. I will take your suggestions under advisement when I make my corrections. Thanks again.

No problem, this is why I do this, so that I can help out fellow map makers. Because when I was building my maps, I got very little feedback and that made me lose interest in the map, which is why I don't make them anymore. And I think that if someone spends enough time and gets enough feedback, they can make something truly amazing, so this thread is to help the new and the old, the beginner and the advanced.
I am glad you liked the review.
Sorry it took so long.
I sadly did not even have the time to write a full review.
But in general, I really liked the part that I played. I'm sorry I don't have much to say. I'm really busy with final exams.
My Escape map's are based on a spanish horror movie called [REC].
Also some feedback on my thread's would be nice!
Thanks!
1. I do not publish reviews anywhere else than here. You can copy it over to your thread if you want. But you need to give me credit + a link to the first page of this thread - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/609598-map-reviews
2. I will start the first one as soon as I have a bit of free time. Final exams & studying for said exams is really taking up a big chunk of my time.
3. I'll start the second one after I finish the first one.
4. Do you want a review for each? or one review for both?
It looks as tho you give out really good reviews! So please when you get time can you review mine?
Its a puzzle map thats going through an update its more along the lines of questions right now! But it will get better soon! Maps right here! Click me!!

It seems that you are currently working on it, so when the update for it that makes it better (as you said) is public, or finished, just let me know and I'll play it then, because I would rather give a review for a version of the map that is better, I hope you understand.
Hey, if you have time, can you review my map please?
It is kind of jump and run with some puzzels, just enjoy
Oh, and there are actually 5 maps so far, all in beta status,I will add more stuff later (etc. etc.)
(My plan was to make this maps all to one huge adventure map, adding checkpoints, mod support, etc.)
These maps are next, I will do them once I get a bit of time, finals end tomorrow, so I should be able to play quite a bit afterwards. I look forward to playing your maps!

I will probably start in a short period of time, I am taking a short break.
Then it's you.
