Since I see many people keep asking how to install it, I will try to help.
First, assuming you are running windows.
1) click start button, and then click "run".
2) type %APPDATA% and hit enter. This will open the folder where minecraft is installed.
3) go into the .minecraft folder, then into the saves folder. This is where you extract the archive.
Then just open the archive from the OP with something like WinRAR, 7-Zip, etc, and drag the "SkyBlock1.1" folder into the "saves" folder above.
Then load the game, and select that save from the menu.
Awesome, but I got a suggestion. Since everybody likes having more dirt, but, it makes things a little easy when you add more starting material, You should reduce the size back down to The 3x3, but then, add 3 small little floating islands far from the island, 2 of the islands 2x2, and the other one just a single dirt block. That wayz, you can get more dirt, but, you still are stuck on a tiny space at the start.

Making a video game mod for minecraft. Going great. The idea? blocks when clicked open up a minigame that rewards you with ores and such based on your ingame score. Almost finished with beta version, which features a very basic pong game.
Looks like I'm getting close to completing the challenges, but its not even those that are keeping me playing, this map is just so unique and different that i just had a 3 and half hour nonstop gameplay session with this map, 10/10 man!

another idea of achievement is to make 20 red dyes and 20 yellow dies(10 flowers for each), as after you made mob spawner platform, bone meal will be a renewable resource, enabling you to spawn flowers on grass.
there is a secret if u put a mushroom on top of a cobble block and then put bone meal on it it will turn the cobble into dirt but u need bonemeal wich u will have to make a mob spawning platform to get
This map is amazing and I would give it a solid 10/10. The limited resources and space really put a strain on the player not unlike the Super Hostile series of maps which greatly adds to the enjoyment. Keep up the awesome work, Mr. Map Maker!
May I just say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE this challenge map! It is a beautifully distilled test of every skill that an experienced Minecrafter should possess. (It taught me at least one new skill.)
I have read a few haters whining that someone got a front page mention with only ten minutes work, as if that somehow denigrates anyone who got a front page mention for a thousand hours work. Not so! Skyblock is (as they say) deceptively simple, yet it is thought out VERY well and it's a joy to play. Easily one of the most amazing things I've seen in a good while.
