This map is SO FULL OF WIN!!! I've been playing it all night (the version of 1.1 with only 3 sand blocks), and I can't remember the last time I had this much fun in Minecraft! It really put the spirit of the game back in me. Thank you Noobcrew for this epic map!!
For those wondering how to build below the original island, carefully ride a waterfall.
I've been putting the cobble generator to heavy use, and now there is nothing left of the original island, except for the 1 block of bedrock, next to my reed farm. The whole floor has a cobble base layer, so it's all 2-blocks deep.
The path down to the right will lead to my future floating mansion. The main island will be expanded further to the lower-left.
Hehe this is awesome fun, if only I could stop falling :tongue.gif: I have fences up everywhere now at least to hopefully prevent me flying without wings :smile.gif:
Can it be played in 1.9.pr2?
I downloaded it and put it in minecraft saves folder. I am 100% sure that I put it in the right place. But the downloaded folder seems to be odd since there are no files except ._.DS_Store
And that file is twice. one is in skyblock 1.1 folder and other in skyblock1.1/region folder
no other files are there
EDIT: My mistake. there were 2 folders in .rar but i noticed only the mac folder
Aside from a caveat, I did it! All 20 challenges completed, or at least they would be. In an attempt to expand my pumpkin farm I grew my seeds to fruition a number of times and then harvested them, in order to obtain more seeds. My understanding is that whenever you destroy a full stalk, you may get 0-3 seeds. The first two times I did this I only got one seed. The third time however I got no seeds. I would effectively be up the creek except I obtained five fully grown pumpkins during my farming. In 1.9 these can be crafted into seeds again. Since however, I am not running 1.9, I am unable to do this. Additionally, these are not enough pumpkins to meet the Jack-O-Lantern requirement. Otherwise though, great success!
Of particular interest is my mob spawner. Mobs spawn in a small room with a 2x7 river at the side. Because water normally flows 8 blocks, water also spills out a hole in the side of the room, through which I can kill mobs, and have their items automatically flow to me.
It's kinda difficult to make a forest, a wheat farm, and a reed farm with only 9 pieces of dirt (8 for me since 1 fell into the void). Would it be possible to add a way to get more dirt? And possibly more sand?
you open the .zip fodler and get the map from in there
then out in %appdata% and go into .minecraft go to saves file and drag the save file in there
here is how i went
C:\Users\yourUserName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves

THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Beaten SH maps: 00, 01 ver 1 and 2, 03 ver 1, 04, 07 (YAY) and 08 I didn't finish. All except the non-existent red wool.
Burn wood logs in the furnace to make charcoal.
It's inside the island.
Not sure if you were referring to me or not, but I've got a custom version of Faithful 32x32, with lightened old-cobble.

If you cook wood in a furnace with planks, it makes charcoal, which you can use for torches.
make dirt by bonemealing mushrooms.
