Good job though. I might try it out sometime. This map is probably actually better than mine. It's much more simple, and more fun. I guess I didn't need to make such a huge thing to make my map fun. Oh well. Lesson learned, >_>
Hey this is a really awesome map, great idea i just thought id post our results so far! All challenges completed, three people on this map(me:z5a1nt, romansiii, gnomedromeda) this is day 2 of started the map up about 26 hours ago. Overview Preview:Clicky
Downloaded the smalles one. I really liked it. I even made an piston!
Good map. I'll use it in SMP.
And expanded the map many blocks down. You should make an challenge for that. :smile.gif:
This map was really great. This is what "Survival" is all about! I really don´t like the "Survival" maps when you hve to go through alot of caves and kill alot of mobs. Like in some "Survival" maps. This is what it should be. Really great map. Hope for more maps like this.
Question: Is it possible to make infinite lava? I tried to do it like you make infinite water (2x2) but failed.
One more question: How do i get the bottom layer of dirt?
Thanks I really appreciate it.
Unfortunately infinite lava is not possible,
Your last question on the bottom layer of dirt, if you don't wanna know please don't click the spoiler :biggrin.gif:
Also if you wanna get the last layer I found out that you can put water on the edge float down it so your on the side of the island (make sure you don't fall, and to keep bobbing your head up and such so your almost like swimming up the water) then with a few pieces of wood or dirt, and make a small platform so now there's some wood or whatever underneath the dirt, and you can just keep extending, and what not :biggrin.gif:
@AndersSlettevold
Thanks!, Yeh good idea, Might add the challenge later :biggrin.gif:

I only used fly to show this pic. The waterfall goes into a small lake in a small forest. The infinite water source is to the left of that and next to the water source is my cobblestone generator. To the right of my forest is the three farms. I'm holding the bread. The furnace and bed are inside the wooden house in front of the forest. I didn't do the mushroom farm because those never work for me. The house also has windows. The island is obviously expanded and there are more than enough torches, thanks to charcoal.
I really enjoyed this challenge, and I hope you make more like this.
Make a Cobble stone generator, Get enough for a furnace, then make stone :biggrin.gif:

Amazing job. I can't build small communities like that if I had all the resources.
