For those wondering about the guy who has three buckets and multiple lava sources, those are in a different version of the map. There's a version that has iron, redstone, and more than one lava source.
you clear the whole island of dirt and have 1 layer on the bottom that is dirt, when removed you will fall, so what i do is go to the edge have everything in the chest except for 1 cobblestone then i slowly fall off the ledge place the cobble block then expand 1 block lower and gather all the dirt :biggrin.gif:

Use a water column and you don't have to die. Just pick it back up in your bucket when you are finished.
If a photon is directed through a plane with two slits in it and either slit is observed, it will not go through both slits. If it's unobserved it will. However, if it is observed after it leaves the plane but before it hits it's target, it will not have gone through both slits.
Great map!
Here's the challenges I've completed so far :tongue.gif: : 1.Build a Cobble Stone generator. 2.Build a house. 3.Expand the island.
4.Make a melon farm. 5.Make a pumpkin farm. 6.Make a reed farm. 7.Make a wheat farm. 8.Make a giant red mushroom. 9.Build a bed.
10.Make 40 stone brick's. 11.Make atleast 20 torches. 12.Make an infinite water source. 13.Build a furnace. 14.Make a small lake.
15.Make a platform 24 blocks away from the island, for mobs to spawn.
16.Make 10 cactus green dye.
17.Make 10 mushroom stew.
18.Make 10 Jack 'o' lanterns.
19.Build 10 bookcases.
20.Make 10 bread.

For as simple as the map is, it sure is lots of fun. I've got a nifty little castle built from stone bricks, which are my favorite block. I've also got a "skybox" mob farm. A fall of 32 blocks is sufficient to kill the mobs, and the farm doesn't have to be that large - even a trickle of dead spiders produces enough wool for some beds and a few paintings.
I wonder how long it would take to scaffold my way to as yet ungenerated chunks, where I can find redstone.
Trees nearly went extinct in my world when it started snowing and killed all my saplings. If that had happened, I would have had to remove the solid blocks from below the spawn point.
Tips
1. Don't lose your lava by letting water touch the source (making obsidian), this will lose your ability to make cobble.
2. Don't let your two water sources (the two ice blocks) join into one, this will lose your infinite water source and thus a lot more.
3. Don't lose your grass, this will stop you from getting seeds from it (using bone mill on it), this stopping you from making a wheat farm.
All three are learned from experience, you make one of these mistakes you are screwed.
this map is AWESOME!!! very fun and challenging, but how did u create the void? Mcedit? also, im thinking of making my own version... something like Sky Island :tongue.gif: this is very inspiring and i love this map lots.
I must admit, i checked this out when it wasn't popular, downloaded old versions and forgot to play it, i downloaded the new version and it's EPIC!!! I also made a city hahahahaha! that was quite a challenge dear sir. Well played.
Impossible to get all achievements without spawning items.
you havent supplied us with seeds which makes it impossible(ad far as im aware)to make a wheat farm

This really isn't for the people who are missing knowledge for Minecraft.
you use bonemeal on the grass to get tall grass, which you obtain seeds from.

Come to think of it, it's not to hard. Really fun, by the way!
But then it dawned on me to use dead skeletons for my food.

Lava doesn't melt snow, so if you get some you can use it without risking losing your much more valuable dirt.
Took forever I swear, so long to grow stuff that I ended up making all sorts of fancy things while waiting for stuff to grow.
