Welcome to the official 'From Resurrection Comes Plague' adventure map topic! Here, you can download the 'From Resurrection Comes Plague' adventure map and discuss. If you are having any issues, please feel free to leave a comment on this topic asking for help. *Notice* If you leave a comment asking for help without going into detail, I will not help. An example of this is: "When I load the map, I get an error." No, this will not work. I need to know exactly what the problem is - in detail - in order to help you. Also, please realize that you must read the entire original post. If a problem occurs that can be answered in the OP, you will not receive any information from me.
*Be Aware! This is a Co-Op map! Two players are the minimum in order to pass all the challenges!
There is a known issue with the multiplayer spawn system. If you don't spawn in a small wooden room with the sign "Read Note 01" in front of you, PM me for directions. This is well known and I'm looking for ways to fix it.
On that note, with the release of version 1.2, this issue may have been fixed. I've yet to know for sure.

Mod Information
The Plague adventure map does have mod compatibility. Mods that have been tested with this map include:
- Better Than Wolves
- zombe's modpack
- Dr. Zhark's Mo' Creatures
- GUI Mob Spawner
- Too Many Items
Please note that these are not my products and I am in no way responsible for any part of them. If you like the mod and want to donate or thank the creator, don't come to me! Each individual mod creator has every right to come to me, in order to remove their mod from the map(this is more directed at BTW), and I will do so to the best of my abilities. If there are any problems with the map and you have suspicions towards any of the mods being the problem, feel free to ask me, but do not go to them. They will not be able to answer you for such questions.
Regarding: Better Than Wolves
This map has been tested to include several features of the Better Than Wolves mod, however, none of the features are at all important to the story or the running of the map. This is purely optional and is simply for the addition of small features. It is possible, also, that the features do not load. It was not tested if turning off the mod removes any of these features, or if updating the game did so either. If you are running the mod and cannot find a single feature of this mod, then my apologies go out, for the 1.6-1.7 update has broken them. This is a possibility, but not a certainty. If somebody would like to comment with the functionality, please do!
Regarding: zombe's modpack
Zombe's modpack has been a great aid in the development of this adventure map, and I would like to sincerely thank zombe for such a creation. The flying mode and building mode in particular, were a great help. As to using this in the map, go ahead! I however, highly recommend playing without it. This mod will remove most difficulty from the map and speed up the gameplay. It is for the sake of your own entertainment that you do not use this mod, unless you are absolutely stuck and nobody will help.
Regarding: Dr Zhark's Mo' Creatures
Once again, this mod has been tested with the adventure map and if you wish to use it, go ahead! I do, on the other hand, recommend you don't, as whilst it may work, Ogres may destroy some important environments. If you want the additional scenery, you may use this mod all you want, but disabling Ogres, if possible, would be a great help to you.
Regarding: GUI Mob Spawner
This mod was a great help to me. Some important features would have been impossible without it! I would like to thank the creator of this mod. This mod in no way should be used during your play-through of The Plague adventure map; I don't want you cheating to make things easier!
Regarding: Too Many Items
Too Many Items was also a great mod to have in the construction of such a large map. It removed any necessity of harvesting resources and allowed me to not have to constantly exit Minecraft in order to get items out of INVedit. Thank you to the creator of this mod.
Texture Packs
I have personally taken the liberty of going through the Painterly Pack texture pack creator(thank you Rhodox) to give you a custom Painterly texture map optimized for this map. It is highly recommended, but not required, that you use this texture pack located in the download links in order to have the deepest immersion.
Explanations
The Plague is a several month long project to bring you entertainment. This adventure map has been tested to the best of my capabilities, and I hope to not find too many people complaining about problems. :wink.gif: Several issues have passed through this map, though all have been fixed.
In this world, you find yourself with your comrade aboard a small transportation air-boat. What you are doing here is for you to find out! But it doesn't look like a vacation in any way. As a matter of fact, the circumstances of your arrival to this new kingdom are very grim, indeed.
Your partner is your most invaluable asset! He will help you get to the bottom of the mystery and save the land! Without him, this adventure may very well be impossible!
In the center of this unfamiliar kingdom lays a base. An ancient prophet has made a prediction and has placed it there for all to see! The prophecy went as:
"Late a day two will come. Fight the evil until it is done. The ultimate sacrifice, they will make. To leave their mark, upon this base."
Across the land there are many hidden areas. If you find a chest marked with a sign on which is written "Secret Location!" you will find a gold brick within. Collect as many of these bricks as you possibly can, for you will leave a personalized monument upon this pedestal. The number of bricks comprising this monument will determine your score, do you think you can find them all?
Rules
The rules of this map are very, very simple:
- Don't break blocks unless expressly given permission in the notes
- Don't cheat
- When you die, you may not use "/teleport"
There is an exception to the first rule, though. Diamond bricks(not diamond ores*) are allowed to be broken. Don't worry, you are given a pick to do so.
The second rule has no exception whatsoever. Cheating includes, but is not limited to: using TNT to "solve" a puzzle, using the modpack to fly, giving oneself material/items, using buggy paths to bypass a puzzle(which you should be reporting, anyway).
Rule three applies within the city limits. Once you reach 'The Hill of The Ancients', feel free to do so.
*This map must be played at a minimum of 'Easy' difficulty
Redstone Torches & You
Redstone torches are an integral part to getting around the map. It covers a very large area, and so you will often find yourself lost, that is, should I not have implemented this system. The notes try to do as best they can to guide you, and several changes were made in the past for this reason, but they can only be so detailed. Redstone torches which, to the untrained eye, may seem random, are actually markers showing you which way to do, or an important part of the map. I hope you have enough intelligence to understand when redstone torches are marking your way to aid you, and when they're scenic or part of a contraption. At first, if the redstone torches seem to guide too much, then don't get bothered, because you'll thank me in the endgame.

Download Links This is what you've been waiting for! The necessary download links are down below. I really do hope you didn't skip this post to get here as fast as possible, as that means you'll find yourself in dire need of help, I can almost guarantee it. As for you good apples out there that listen, be sure to have fun and report any problems that may ruin your experience in The Plague.
I'd love to play it, but I'm kinda already focused on a different project right now! Sorry! Bookmarked for another day!
And here's a bump :wink.gif:
That's a shame, but I understand. I've not been able to do so many things in Minecraft since the creation of this map. I missed the Aether, the Yogbox and plenty more, as I was stuck on building this. At least I can go do those things soon, once I get some people playing this and giving me bug reports.
Indeed, there does seem to be something about SMP that spawns you way out. I sent a PM to your friend with directions, I'm sure of which you've already received. I personally spawned in the streets of the city, so I did make a mistake, but that was soon corrected. I'm uploading a new version and I requested that you test that simply for the spawn once you've finished.
I suspect right now that you guys may have to actually upload the map yourselves so that it works in SMP, as I can't get the working on my end. The spawns seem to differ between single and multi player.
Map has been updated with version 1.2. The sole purpose of this update is to fix the multiplayer spawn issue. If you download this map, please, please, please! leave a comment with feedback if you have any issues at all.
Would it be alright if I record this for a Let's Play with my friend?
That would be totally fine with me, as long as everything's working fine on your end!

Notes Download link is broken for me.
Could you go into more detail with what the issue is? Any error messages, the website not loading, etc.?
Sorry for the late reply, assuming this makes it to any of you. After a lack of posts for a couple months and being busy, I kind of gave up hope on this. But it looks like maybe some people are interested in this, after all.
