hey dude i'm sad that the current version will go but i'm happy to hear a bright future is ahead for sonic craft btw sorry about before also i got all chaos emeralds so ye love your work see ya on the other side
I'm so glad to here that this project is coming back out of hiatus! A complete rebuild of the project is probably the best way to go with the vast differences that minecraft has now compared to then, and I will be patiently waiting for any and all updates. Maybe i could record playthroughs for Youtube to review it and provide feedback, if that's OK with you?

I'd be happy to let people record playthroughs of released versions though I'd prefer that incomplete versions stay with me. I've got a YouTube channel of my own, so previews of the map would come out during development regardless.
1. Will the final zones of the respective games be added before building parts of the next game?
2. will access to the final levels require all of the chaos emeralds of that game?
I've not decided yet. I've got a few ideas of large interconnected maps which I need to flesh out into a full concept - the basic idea, though, is that there'll be a lot of different paths one can take through the game now - for example, Green Hill will mainly point the player towards Marble Zone, but there'll be alternative paths the player can take depending on their progress throughout the rest of the game. Chaos Emeralds - as well as some other collectables - will determine which levels players can go to.
Hold up... Is that Bridge Zone i see in the third screenshot of Beta 2.0?
Oh my god.
Yes Jungle Zone will be included too.
People that know me outside of SonicCraft (I can't imagine there's many of you here...) will probably know that this year has been a bit of a busy one for me, so progress has been slow and occasional as always. We're getting there though, there'll be time in the future and when there finally is I want to produce that first proof of concept just so people can see SonicCraft is still going and will be for the foreseeable future.

I understand, schedules can be filled up with other, more important things to do, and the pandemic hasn't made it any easier. Please take as much time as you need, we will be waiting patiently knowing that it will be worth it. Have an amazing day!😊
I've been following the project off and on for a while, i'm really happy to know that you still have ideas and plans! I look forward to whatever comes next!! I know that it says my join date is today but I have made quite a few posts in this thread under a previous name before accounts were migrated.
Just a small update, I've added an alternate link to the original post in case the MediaFire link ever goes down. Apparently inactive accounts are getting purged on MediaFire now, so it's best I have a backup.
Hey uh, anybody got the texture pack? it wasnt anywhere i looked
I'm not sure what you mean, all of the texture packs are right there in the download. There's even a README explaining which files are the texture packs.
I still cannot believe this Project is still going for all these years, it's incredible to see somebody like you have the dedication to continue this after all these years. Personally, I had a feeling it might just never happen... which is usually the case with these kinds of projects. But damn, man, the dream is all coming true... and things truly look better than ever.
Definitely a bit of a bizarre twist today, seeing that the Bedrock Edition is getting an official Sonic modpack! Needless to say... the Java Edition isn't getting them, so I guess I'll just have to keep working on SonicCraft, huh
Wow it's been 2 1/2 Years sense the announcement of a new version of soniccraft and over a year sense Hwd45 has said anything is the project dead or...?
I can see him wanting to get the map to a state with at least a playable form of every zone from 1-3k so that he's not releasing "unfinished content" and then having periodic content updates to flesh out the world.
I've been remaking Classic Sonic tunes for the past year, I just now started wondering if this map is gonna have music for the zones or not (how would that even work if it did?)

i have 2 questions.
1. Will the final zones of the respective games be added before building parts of the next game?
2. will access to the final levels require all of the chaos emeralds of that game?
Dont worry we will hold on
Good luck, man. I'll be rooting for ya.

anyways have a happy new year
As the hype around the mysterious reboot continues, people begin to wonder: when will the first new build get a teaser?
Wow it's been 2 1/2 Years sense the announcement of a new version of soniccraft and over a year sense Hwd45 has said anything is the project dead or...?
Not to my knowledge.
Still...it's pretty sad to see it collecting dust like this.
Then again, it can't be easy making Zones like in the original map. Maybe it's taking so long because it requires a lot more work?
