Giggle, Pearwood, and Rippling, with Moxie in the background for a bit. (The stonies. - Stone ponies. http://askstonies.tumblr.com/ ) Play Kingdom of the sky!
Well I suppose I should just post the score I would give this game first for all those people who simply want to know that.
8 out of 10.

Now as for those who wish for an in depth (spoil filled) review let us begin.
I played this game with a friend, and after a bit of early game cheating (we wanted to see the single player spawn) we were perplexed as to why the single player spawn had two sets of armor while the multiplayer spawn had only 1. I suppose this may have been on purpose, but it seemed like it may have been a mistake.
After we began the adventure (On hard) we came to one startling problem. We had no weapons.
We had found some in the first town yes, but after slaying hoard after hoard on our way to the library they had all broken. The rules stated not to break blocks, so we couldn't make say wooden swords to help our plight, and so were left beating back creepers with our fists. (Not the best strategy) Eventually we just sprinted through the level as we couldn't fight to save our lives. Personally I think the first level needs more supplies, or less monsters. (Yes we were on hard, but even for hard that was ridiculously difficult.)
The middle portion of the game was fantastic with great visuals, funny commentary from the narrator and some very well made puzzles and challenges. Also we had a steady stream of supplies so we were never under powered, but also never felt like the game was going easy on us.
Then came the end (the castle)
Oh...my...
1st off the lava bridge, WTF! We were able to get over it by spamming the button and sprinting, but not before a few failed attempts that made us lose everything we owned!
This in itself wouldn't have been so bad except for the ungodly amount of monsters in the following rooms! And even those weren't so bad as much as that last room. That last room was evil! The floor slowed us down, it was pitch black, we had no food, no torches, and no weapons (after the lava escapade.)
IT WAS HELL.
In all honesty those final rooms either need less monsters, or the lava pit needs to be removed.
Now some of you may say "There is a easy way past the lava pit just _____!" and my response to you is, fine then that needs to be a bit more obvious as me and my friend had no idea how to get across without dying repeatedly.
Now I'm not saying this map sucks, far from it, I LOVED this map. It's just that the bits mentioned above weren't difficult as much as unfair. Not a difficulty curve, as much as a vertical line as it were.
All in all the map was amazing, the story was a bit cliché (and really who didn't see the plot twist coming) but it was fun, the map looked amazing and the quests while infuriating at parts still felt epic on a grand scale.
wait happily for the next installment assuming there are no more lava pits right before endless waves of enemies in dark rooms.

The map is meant to be very hard.
There is actually quite a bit of armor and weapons in the starting town, if you ran out that fast then you might not have looked through all the buildings.
Things like the chains and lava bridge are there for a reason. To prevent people from trying to rush through. The solution is very simple and could easily be done even before dashing was implemented. If you don't take your time in the challenging parts of the map then you will die many times. This is the Castlevania game philosophy and exactly how I wanted the map to be.
It's very good map, it shows that many hours were invested with the great outcome. But it sometimes feels empty, you should consider adding few signs with text for supporting characters. And some clue in madness maze. And repair few places where you can stuck :tongue.gif: But summing up it's really great map. Few hours of polishing would give it even better gameplay.
there is a clue for the maze, its actually pretty obvious once you see it
Considering I used a PS3 controller for this, I well... Blamed the controller a lot. It was fun until I accidentally broke the map (a creeper blew up something next to lava and it made the lava fall).
i have a little problem. everything works fine except that every block is destroyed in one hit. it says survival i have too many items installed and i set it to survival so i dont know why its doing this, all my other maps are normal. any tips on how to get it back to normal??

there was a SPC file left in the folder, using the command /instantmine will shut it off. I also uploaded a new version without the file.
Pause and millbee love your map, good enough for me to take a shot at it. Also, this map seems in tents! Quite the pause- ative Feedback from everyone in the livestream.
Hey there! Just wanted to thank you for the amazing map that you have provided for us. I play a lot of maps, but to be honest I steered away from adventure maps. I found your map through the shop that is pinned on the front page and decided to give it a whirl. I have never been so immersed in such a story. The Voice acting played very well with the map. Overall this was a brilliant and very fun map. So thank you for the time that you have put in this and not only myself, but many others on my stream cannot wait for number 2.

Good job on this man. x3 There were some parts that got irritating, but all in all it was awesome. :biggrin.gif:
PS. You were our first recorded lets play! (Well, second, the first map we played we actually rage-quitted due to poor design. XD)
