What Shane said . Absolutely make it . Your take on how to survive a MistaGrinch map should be fun and DO add something to make it a challenge . ( Hidden wolves anyone ? )
Oh and the 15 wolf limit sounds just about right . LOL ! A million would be a trifle excessive .
Oh , and Shane ? Not the Desert but the empty city island off the coast . The Pyramid one was a snap .
Yea the one between the 2 towers that had ghast spawners? build a dirt/cobble stairway up and try and level it with the dog, i'd recommend satrting the bridge from the dog to the kennel trying to measure it up, and then jumping in the water to connect it. But railways really are the only option, just make sure when u push the dog into the minecart, u surround it so u dont push him off >.>
i personally think that in the home room of hell's highway, there is too many supplies, and not enough in the dungeons. i miss that feeling of gradual progression like in your first map. but aside from that, ITS AWESOME
Heh. You aren't one of the people then obviously. :tongue.gif: This is an area that is already in one of my released maps.
Daily pic!
Yes? No? Should I bother to make this? (That's all I've done... don't take my progress into consideration when saying your opinion.)
Ah, right, I knew that...
I reckon you should take the time to make a training map. Currently Vech's training map is really the only one out there (because mine sucks). Just remember to make it different, and awesome.

Thanks to your overwhelming feedback I'm definitely going to work on it. :smile.gif: I'm thinking of ways to make it unique. I'm thinking that at the end of each training course there will be a piece of wool, and for the scavengers who look everywhere there will be dogs.
Thanks for all your responses. :cool.gif:
Playing through Compound II. I like it, but yeah, you've sort of lost the whole "escaping a prison" bit. It's just a series of dungeons really. Which is cool, I need a bit of dungeon training!
I made it because I didn't really want people to play Compound Island I first. I kind of ditched all the old ideas and just made a completely new map. It still has some of the old stuff though. :smile.gif: I like the idea of numbered dungeons as well. It lets you know that there will be wool at the end of it, and it's fairly simple from a map-makers perspective as well.

I was thinking about that. In the next update I'm going to take away a lot of those supplies.
Pretty big pre-release pic here. I think you guys are going to really like this map. :cool.gif:
I'm having so much fun on Compound II. Will you be making mini versions of all your maps eventually? They're not too hard, nor too easy and they suit me to a T. Oh, and there's 5 parts of the series up now. I'll be getting back to the first series shortly when I can tear myself away from CI II

Here's Ep 2
I'll add all those. Watched them all. The boom and then the obsidian was a scripted event type thing. Without the obsidian, that place would be completely gone. I thought you would enter the dungeon, throw a torch down, it would trigger the sand and then it would go boom. Because you would've lost your torch, you would've been easily able to see the light source coming from the room with the lime wool.
How is the middle building still standing up? :ohmy.gif:
Pfft. Minecraft physics, that's how. There are a few buildings that are like that, but I do my best to at least have the buildings something to stand on.
Currently playing Hell's Highway, and I must say, there are next to no bugs in it that I've stumbled across so far, other then the wolves being terribly unresponsive :tongue.gif:
However, I do have a small solution... Make a hut in every spot where a wolf is supposed to be, and place a Wolf Spawner inside, with a box of 10ish bones outside. We tame a wolf then, and bring it to the Wolf room that way!
Also, the trap in minidungeon 2
the floor collapsing when you sleep in the bed, was a bit broken, as you wake up standing on the bed, and can easily jump to safety :tongue.gif:
One other complaint - it's very hard to get back to your spot of death. Perhaps move the spawn closer to the stairway down, and maybe have a water tunnel down, unlockable if one can find a hidden bucket of water?
Anywho... Any survival map that can wow me and give me a heart attack at the same time (a creeper fell from the ceiling out of nowhere, during a period of quiet that had been going on for about 10 minutes, and made me shout out loud) really is deserving of great praise.

Amazing work, and I can't wait to play more!
I can't stop people from cheating, but putting a wolf spawner somewhere would be pretty much asking someone to cheat. I know it can be difficult to move the dogs around, but that's part of the fun. :smile.gif: The trap there was pretty much just for a nice scare. It's so early on it doesn't really matter to me. As far as the spawn point... That's what the bed in the Home of the Victor is for. So you don't have to go back to spawn after you leave unless you want to.
I'm glad you're enjoying it though. :biggrin.gif:
I just made a map using MCedit for the first time. I wanted to get your guys opinions on it. It's not CTM, more of survival but it was a nice little project I worked hard on. Hope you can take a look :biggrin.gif:

P.S. 300th post!
It's not me that decides that. There is a limit of 15 tamed wolves on each save in Minecraft.
Yea, I meant though will you be placing 15 dogs on this one? :tongue.gif:
