I have decided to create a pass it on for the seed "gargamel". If you haven't done one of these before it basically works like this. Someone puts up a map, someone else DLs it and posts TAKEN. After an amount of time (4 hours for this one) the person who DLed the map puts up the map with whatever they added. Rinse and repeat.
This is a pass it on for the seed "gargamel" the awesome valley map.
RULES
1. No spawning items or using MCedit
2. No messing up the map
3. Try not to scar the landscape.
4. don't keep the map for longer than 4 hours.
5. You can play on peaceful if you wish.
6. If you have not returned the map after 4 hours then you are disqualified and the map goes on.

The time between updates is 20% work, 40% vacations, and 60% Jeb perfecting lanterns.
I installed a water ladder and safe drop zone to the mining area. I also started work on an efficient branch mine, a couple levels higher than the one that's already going on down there. I'm going make a 2x2 tunnel a little ways away before starting to branch out, so I don't disturb the current mine, but I'll work on that later.
There are instructions for using the water ladder ingame, but I'll use the thread to elaborate a bit. This design uses the southwest corner rule, so it still works as of the 1.5_1 patch, and it seems unlikely it will be fixed soon (knock on wood). To use, just walk into the corner, looking straight ahead. You'll probably see the splash animation and move up at least a bit. Continue to press and hold the forward button and you should rocket to the surface. There's a chance you'll get stuck at some point or another. If that happens, just move your mouse a little to find the sweet spot; it really only works ideally if you're looking at a certain zone relative to the corner on either side, so experimentation is necessary. To disembark at the top, continue pressing forward, and turn your mouse to the left to turn around against the wall. There's a ladder below your feet that will keep you from falling to your death. If you do fall somehow, you should spawn at the bed, so just jump down the safe drop and get your stuff back!
If you don't like the water ladder because it uses a glitch, or because you died on it, I left the Stair to Bedrock intact, so it's cool. You can still use the safe drop if you like.

- Added another part to the bridge, and made the entrance wider.
- Added pressure plates to the double doors near the bedroom.Complete with inverted signals.
- Found some iron and redstone
- Smelted some sand into glass.
- Added some torches in the landscape.
- Crafted some tools and added them to a tool chest.
- Filled the sign chests.
- Harvested some wood.
I doubt if we should go to the nether so early.
We just have a small base right now.
We need to expand some more before we should go to the nether.
And lastly, please do NOT use the diamond pickaxe for mining smooth stone. It's a waste for them.
Use it only for mining ores.

Some notes:
Make auto cacti farm and linked it up to chests.
Went suicide mining. and lit up some caves for ?OP?'s mob trap.
Don't tame dogs unless you are playing offline (the will be saved in the world as "Players" rather that your dog ONLY)
Also I may have found "someones" "something" by accident. My bad
