Got 16 my first run. Know where three I missed are but not sure on the other one (two?). Anyway, I registered here so I could say that first this was really fun and second that geez the map outside the temple is beautiful! I went looking to see if I would run into Horus again :wink.gif: So far I just found a cave that you guys put some torches in and a whole lot of gorgeous scenery. Did you guys use a particular seed?

To give you a hint on the first note of yours, there are 21 . :smile.gif:
And thank you for register just to tell us that you liked it. We really do appreciate it! Really..
About the caves.. since we did not cheat during our map making, we had to find all the iron, diamond (for tools etc) and so on. Sand wasn't a big problem. As you might understand. ^^ Lapis was a bigger problem though.
The seed part: No, we did not use any seeds. I don't know if you can check that up. But I started the map by Minecraft_Server.
Found 16 :smile.gif: Quite a nice map, the only thing I didn't like is that I had to break the rules to get through that one room. The rules say you aren't supposed to break any blocks, but we had to break the dirt blocks and that sandstone block in the other room
Not entirely true. If you read the rules, it says that you may break blocks if it's kinda obvious.
If you just broke the dirt within the second part and sandstone where you should climb up - then you did not break any rules.
Good you brought it up though. Maybe we weren't that clear about that. Thanks.
Very well done map, i just had 2 problems i believe. The first one was with the wooden pressure plate hidden and you throw the clay block into the hole where water is supposed to carry it down onto it. I waited a few min, nothing happened, so i broke the wall there, and the water wasn't flowing. Dunno if it's just me or what but yea, that was problem 1 :tongue.gif:. Didn't ruin the game for me since i could hear the water and figured it was something stupid.
And problem #2 is that the rules say i can not break any blocks ever UNLESS we are SUPPOSED to. There are 2 or 3 rooms where you have to break blocks to get thru, but never get permisson. I felt like a cheater :tongue.gif:.
As i recall, i had no other problems. Very well done like i've said ill give you 4.5/5 .
OOO wait yea, i did have another problem. I did end up dying on the archery part cuz im stupid and wasn't watching my health lol. You only give 1 item to complete tasks that involve wooden pressure plates. Well, if you die, and have to run back, you don't have that item anymore. So i just broke thru the wall to get back to my corpse :tongue.gif:.
And i ended the game with 20/20 gold pieces :smile.gif:. And the explosion of the head was fun too :smile.gif:.

Oh, we're sorry for the inconveniences. It's fully all right if you don't understand that part where you get a brick. Above the chest (where the brick was), there's a button. If you press it, water will begin to flow behind that wall. Then you throw the block in, and it will automaticly press the pressure pad for you.
As I know, many people have been curious about that "break block" -rule, since you actually never will be told that it's okay to break blocks. I thought it would be, in manner of intuition, that you could/should break blocks at that point, where you actually have no rational process of the break claiming.
And of course, at that dispenser part [>>-i>] , you can make it without losing any hearts. You just need to step on the edge of it, then back off very fast then walk right through. :smile.gif:

Oh yeah I forgot that you guys did that by hand! I know it only took two days but that still must have been a lot of work... Does that include planning and ideas or did you just make it up as you went along?

Pretty funny that you ask. The thing is, XGLDF (the co-buider), had recently bought MineCraft in thoughts of building his first serious map. So right after one day (or less?), he and I, started to build up this map. We had some thought on releasing it and so on. But I never really thought it was going to be a very serious thing. Just most for the looks.
That extra was not supposed to be involved. But we, somehow, forgot about it and "woops!", there it is. Let's call it a "hidden" goldblock. :smile.gif:

Ahh I see... I got 21/20 too Very Fun Map! I hope you can make another one!
You need to be more specific about when you are aloud to break blocks. You said you can't break blocks unless you need to. You should say instead that you can't break blocks unless specified and put signs saying that you can break them in certain areas. Also watch this trolololo

Yeah, we know! We're working on The Temple of the Gods 2!
This time we will put signs that tells you when you're allowed to break and when not! ;D
