Open a command window (dos prompt).
Type "ping www.fileswap.com" (without quotes)
Then type "ping 216.155.129.123" (fileswap's ip)
If the first one just times out and the second one works fine then the problem is a DNS issue on YOUR end.
Try switching to a DNS server that isn't terrible (DNS automatically obtained from your ISP often is terrible).
If both time out and you know the site is actually up then it is probably a routing issue or your ISP is screwing something up. Complain to your ISP.
This all assumes your internet is otherwise working and you didn't screw something up with your router/firewall.
look what you wrote man; totally rude.
blaming me for screwing things up or saying my ISP is terrible. You have no idea my level of comprehension on this matter, you don't know my computer specs or ISP. you are making presumptions and being rude with your comments. go troll some one else.
fileswap is overloaded plain and simple; especially with the gov cracking down on sites (notably megaupload).
So I'm playing Lethemyr right now, and I seem to have encountered a problem. This problem has to do with a certain sheep in the map. This sheep seems to be invincible. Seriously, I used up an entire wooden sword hitting the sheep, yet it didn't die. Is this a glitch, or can map-makers control animals' health now?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Studies have shown that 843,902,635 people are too lazy to read this number.
I seem to have progressed the most so far. Goody. Well, now I'm awake. 6 hour marathon starts today and my stopwatch is still at 1 hour, 41 minutes and 23 seconds. However, I wonder where the monument is?

Reading comprehension is a good thing.
I explicitly said that my suggestion was based on the assumption that you DIDN"T screw something up.
I didn't say your ISP was terrible. I said that the DNS servers automatically given by many ISPs are terrible (and they ARE). Even if that was what I said, how am I being rude to you when I call out a company for being terrible?
Once again, fileswap is up and working fine. It is NOT overloaded. If it was a simple overload issue then your problem would've cleared up on its own a long time ago.
I also love how you of all people are complaining about other people being rude (even when they weren't).
Now then, did you actually TRY using a different DNS server?
The closest any of your posts comes to the issue is "cleared cache; reset router; restarted computer" none of which would give you a different DNS server (unless you ISP recently changed it on their end which is extremely unlikely).

I don't know if Vech's intended for there to be super sheep in the map, but it is indeed possible to edit the health of entities. Luckily for Vech's hapless victims, only passive mobs are persistent. As such, any super skeletons or the like would despawn if you move far enough away.

So if it's "plain and simple" why are you still asking about it? And the Government cracking down on sites... nonexistent. They only cracked down on one, Megaupload, for the sake of making a point. It has nothing to do with the topic at hand - no matter what file sharing site you use, several thousand people that all want a specific upload will overload said download. I don't think Megaupload's users going elsewhere is causing any notable effect on traffic in this case, seeing as how Vechs has never used Megaupload. Having been here for several SH map releases, I speak from experience.
And finally, your own hubris greatly surpasses the implied arrogance of others in this situation. Nobody is trolling you, nobody is posting anything unhelpful, you're just being an overt asshole. Finally, if you're going to berate someone for not knowing your ISP and computer specs, berate yourself for not giving them in the first place when you were blind on why there was a problem in the first place.
Okay guys, never trust Vechs when he gives you Feather Boots on a very very high tower, it will kill you.
The second I saw that, I looked at the distance from the top of the tower to the ground. I remembered watching Vech's video with Feather Falling X and jumping from Y: 128 to Y: 1. He survived with half a heart. These Feather Boots are only Level 4, and it was at like 220 height, so I was like... oh, people are gonna die here...
Light Gray Wool
Man, that place was scary. I got the Green Wool as well and it was so easy that I was so convinced it was actually the Red or Black Wool. Good luck to whoever tackles it. You'll be facing the worst mobs in the game.
For Fallen Kingdom, you might want to get some inspiration from the map Blight Castle by Tadywin. It is almost entierly indoors, and the map is awesome in general.
That place was a nightmare with no speed potions available. I had managed to grab a stack of diamonds and Diamond Armor so I could just blitz through without all the mobs knocking on the back of my helmet. Still, I jumped into lava and nearly died. Hooray for ignorance!
Are all the maps that are in version 3.0 updated to take advantage of Anvil so that the biomes are mapped to each X/Z coordinate? I'm assuming they are since the new map Lethamyr is 3.0.
Also, please update the Training map. I am new to the series and it is out of date and not very helpful.
I freaking love level 32 enchantments. I'm not kidding you, that was a level 32 enchantment. Took me ages to recover all the bookshelves and grab some reeds so I can make my underwater enchanting base.
Also, Lime Wool acquired. Time to set off for another adventure and make a map to mark my spot.

I know what you're talking about with this Light Gray. I mean, A has about 5
Blaze Spawners
in that final room. However, you do get some nice Bottles o' Enchanting with it. Looks like I've conquered the extremely hard Light Gray dungeon...
