Yeah, I've moved forward fairly quickly. Decided to say hell with lighting up the lonely lava cavern, scarfed some of the torches, and headed for the intersection.
After a wrong turn into the Legacy of Contempt (at which I saw the already triggered creeper trap, panicked, and ran like hell), I went into the cave section just before the Starlight Cavern. Got a creeper that fell on me (and somehow didn't kill me) as well as a spider, but I'm just about ready to head in, although I have zero torches left - had to actually wall off most of the cave in between the intersection and Starlight Cavern to conserve the few torches I have...
So I may end up having to rush in as fast as possible, grab a log block, and bolt back out. Or I may take it slowly. Every effing skeleton that finds me probably takes a few minutes off my life from scaring me that badly, so hopefully I won't get jumped. Again.
(Yeah, like that'll ever happen...)
Still purposely setting off tnt traps to gather cobblestone from the explosions, though. Only way I'm going to get any for now, since my wooden pickaxe broke already (I do have some coal stored, at least).
I'll probably end up edging along the side of the cavern like Zisteau did. I'd burrow into the wall and go around that way, but I know there's lava in there somewhere >.>
Surprisingly, only took damage once so far, from a zombie falling on me. I did fall into that pit just before the Legacy of Contempt, though... so I've only taken about 3 hearts of damage so far. Very surprising, seeing how... haphazardly I play most of the time.
You're like the dude who avoids getting shot by a sniper by bending down to pick up a coin off the ground.
I always wanted to have a huge jungle, Canopy Carnage is awesome! Already found three of the bases and i'm not sure if there are very many more (though I know there's at least one more) and I've almost walked all the way around the island, too scared to go through it yet... Already have yellow magenta and white wool, as well as an iron block (from the "sssssurprise" trees)
I've been spending all day today fixing up the victory monument in Canopy Carnage, I cleaned out the ground inside the temple walls. Afterwards, I fixed up the 'lampposts' along the trail on the outside, then I started fixing the road outside.
What I have left is to fix the actual temple, (I destroyed it when I went upstairs, not bothering to find the stairs,) and then I need to fix the temple security wall.
I ran out of mossy cobblestone, (I cleaned out the rubble outside the wall,) so i guess I have to go take care of the two buildings I found, (the huge dungeon leading to bravo, and a weird little piece of ruins with dispenser traps at the door.)
....I seeeee. This should be...fun. Especailly considering I am going to smp jump in the day it comes out. I will say this. I want to stab you to death with a rusty spoon. Then, I want to take your maps and shove em down your throat. Put you in an over at 450 for 6 and a half hours and feed you to the neighborhood wild boars. (I live in Florida) Then, I will take the boars that consumed your burnt carcass and put them on a boat loaded with remote explosives out to the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. Then, I will detonate them and you will be forever lost at the bottom of the Gulf. Ingested by boars with your maps rammed down your gullet. That is what I think of that segment.
Haha on your Canopy map i found the "Space Core tree" (aka the original spawn tree before you moved it). I liked all your random signs and chests. I even found a "floating" chest hidden above the ground in some reeds. Keep up the good map work!

I completely fixed ALL of the ruins near the victory monument in Canopy Carnage.
-the lampposts
-the road
-the temple
-the security walls
-the ground inside the walls
EVERYTHING
HAHAHAHHAHAHA.
Oh god I'm such an asshole.
You guys are going to hate this part in #07.
The area is called "Pain Water" and it's... it just sucks.
I think I've faithfully recreated (one of) the frustrations from my childhood days with the NES.
Let me toss out a hint - I would recommend this music:
Please read above post. Oh and, in your words, DEAL WITH IT.
I know. But, I decided to tell you, DEAL WITH IT. Serisouly though, I pretty much summed up most of the hatred ANYONE could have for THAT.
I can't find it anywhere 0.0
Oh, and that spoiler for 7? I am already raging.
Oh dear lord... I've already shat my pants.
