I've played most of the regular SH maps, although ironically, the only one I actually completed was Legendary.
I got about 60% through Nightmare Realm. Then I wanted to set up a base near the brown wool, but had too much trouble getting stuff to and from there. And I've now watched most of the level done by both Joe Hills and OOG, so I don't feel any strong motivation to finish it myself, as I've already seen "what lies ahead".
I got Canopy Carnage about 90% complete, but by that point I was finding exploring the earth to be very repetitive. There's some areas I just couldn't get near, and it seemed like the only solution was to cut trees.
You can guess how that went.
Although I wonder...
Now that Ghasts light stuff on fire as they were meant to...
Kaizo Caverns lost my interest shortly after I reached Intersection II, found a bunch of horrible things, turned back, and then found a secret somewhere that
led to even more horrible things in a place that I can't remember the name of, but it clearly was not designed with the Hunger system, Void Fog, or Endermen in mind.
Also, Vechs, you sing like an angel! (A socially awkward, totally untrained angel, but an angel nonetheless!)

"I often think about that old metaphor, the one that says we are all islands on a wide sea. Especially these days, now that things are more difficult than before and the world appears to be harsher than we once imagined it to be. We are all like islands, the philosopher said. Perhaps it's true. Yet I cannot help but remember an older saying, scratched on a cave wall somewhere by a long-forgotten prophet: in the end, the sea will claim everything."
Maybe this is already explained somewhere, but I just figured out what those cryptic words mean that Vechs puts in parentheses on all those enchanted tool signs.
If you wish to satisfy your curiosity:
It just describes the item inside.
First letter is the material.
The rest are the enchantments on it.
So when you see a chest with a sign that says something like "Velmont, The Zombie Slayer (isl)", it means it's an Iron (i) sword, with Smite (s) and Looting (l).
...
Or an Iron sword with Sharpness and Looting.
Or Silk Touch and Looting, since any enchantment can be hacked onto any item.
...
Or an Iron Hoe, if you accept the theory that not all zombie-slaying implements are swords.
Hey. When did Vechs change all the maps difficulty to "Easy" except Nightmare Realm which now is "Medium"?...
..That's just so not right..
He's changing the way difficulty is ranked I believe that it goes like this...
Easy: There is a spawn and you can set your spawn with beds.
Normal: Your spawn can only be kept by using beds. Otherwise Gameover.
Hard: Hardcore. Nuff said. Get ready to replace your save if you die! :sad.gif:

That's what talk is anyways...
The ratings are based off of the difficulty of the spawning mechanics.
I think I prefer CTM maps were I know were the wool is but its graded by 600 spawners. I really hate looking at places iv been 100,000 times only to find out the wool was hidden 15 blocks underground! Vechs I think in the next map you make (Or even just updating old maps) to add cryptic riddles as hints to were each wool hides.

As someone has mentioned that hidden cannon, I too suffer the fate of the Davion Stealth Cannon MK1. As they say, watch out.

Time to replay the map and push even more mobs into lava with them signs.
Why does everyone use the signs? Uber diamond swords are better. Also, how many wools are in the Rumbling Caverns?
Technically exists.
