Half blocks have always been an awkward-at-best bridging material. Kamyu's conspiracy theory might not be as crazy as you might think. :smile.gif:
If there's one thing Joe Hills taught me, it's that Half Slabs are the worst.
WHAT?!
Danger zone.
I started on 1.8.1 because I was told it has 1.8 content but I couldn't find any, maybe I was just stupid. Conquering the Ghost Town is the most fun I've ever had on Minecraft - felt a bit like Black Hawk down and going into a hot zone and just bombarding, I might even revisit it with all the new 1.0.0 content. I kept getting a blue crash in Ghost Town so I upgraded to 1.9 Beta Pre 3 but I never went back to see if that fixed anything, screw it, I'll do it later. 3 deaths, one from falling in the Cloud 9 area, the other two over that red mist area. :smile.gif:
Just finished the redone Sea of Flame II, really fun much more challenging than Infernal Sky II:
Inspired by Guude and Bdouble00 I went for this map for probably my sixth time but first time on the 1.0.0 version which was really really well in the updating part. I was shocked that I didn't come across any cave spiders or silverfish but I'm not complaining! While brewing is a big addition to the game I only found the time to use it twice; when I died by my own lava placement and used those speed potions. The enchanted signs were so cool but I was a full blown idiot and placed my level 4 sign and my level 3 which bummed me out. Ultimately I got the Green wool with so much ease it's almost criminal in my execution, the red and black wool I would have never gotten if Notch didn't put pistons in the game and if I wasn't given that generous stack at the shrine to Zisteau. Two deaths only both from lava that I placed, I managed to not fall to my death once - I think my Infernal Sky II skills came through!
I will probably do Spellbound Caves next, but I'm going to skip Kaizo Caverns because I want to do the Black Desert which I think would be pimp when it's redone and will certainly be a huge challenge for me to finish.
Thanks man i appreciate it. Time for RAGE!!! :smile.gif:
Would it be okay if I added the metals but just called it the Monument?
I am playing Sunburn Islands using MC 1.0.0 and the slime population in one particular dungeon is out of control.
Not that slimes are difficult to kill, really more of a nuisance than anything, just getting tired of spending 30 minutes de-sliming the area so I can mine resources and I now have enough slime balls for 3 1/2 stacks of sticky pistons!
Is there anything I can do, short of making the area darker (according to Minecraft-Wiki, lighting an area to prevent other hostile mobs from spawning, INCREASES slime spawn rates. I think it works), to eliminate or at least severely reduce the number of slimes that are spawning?
Thanks.
Vechs does use metals for the Victory Monument. Also, I'm pretty sure anything other than "Victory Monument" works. So "The Monument" should be fine, but I'm sure you can be more creative than that! :wink.gif:
Also, keep in mind that the shape of Monument, chamber, temple, carpet, tapestry, throne, etc...for the wool doesn't need to be the same shape as his. Though I don't think the shape of the Victory Monument is restricted, only the name.
On Ragequit holidays...I'm still stuck on the first part because my keyboard is very clunky in starting up sprint... :sad.gif:
your guide while useful vaguely reminds me of playing the halo reach LASO challenges (beat every one). now THOSE were rom hack style.
vechs why not make a hardcore map based around moving through valleys filled with spawners, bring back some of those memories. sorry if this is a bit off topic.
Another question about Sunburn Islands.
I found some empty spawners. Seems odd. I know it's not my texture pack because in other dungeons I've seen the little monsters spinning around. I am seeking a skellie spawner because arrows are rare (I screwed up and destroyed a skellie spawner already...DOH!)
Anyway, just kind of weird that these particular spawners are empty.
I believe they were Steve spawners. Since they were removed from the game, the spawners now appear empty.

You can blame the full version's crappy snow, & snow biomes. Use optifine to turn off the snow in the video settings. just Google search it.
Technically exists.
