but i love the way the maps are paced (as far as finding ores and such)
they are so awesome even without the spawners
if my comp could do it i would world edit out all the spawners so i could play on normal.
you walk into a hallway, you can see the chest in front of you, you open it, and... BAM! you're thrust into a different hallway with dispensers for walls, the floor is made of pressure plates, you step on one, and get hit with a potion of poison, you run down the hall, and as you go, more potions hit you, then, just as you reach the end, the last potion is a potion of instant HARM, and then you die.
I'm a Tails fan, get over it
Same here
Give diamond at the very first area, iron at the second, and stone at the third. They have to backtrack to the beginning if they want to succeed.
Super Hostile maps I've completed: Spellbound Caves (Yeah, I pretty much suck.)
Solution: Break pressure plates and raid dispensers for weapons.

That's the one reason why I've never liked dispensers much. Break trigger, get ammo. They're a good weapon in concept but too easy to disarm and very rarely a serious threat.
WHAT?!
Danger zone.
Solution: Rig the dispensers with tnt.
Not possible: detecting pressure plate removal
Go into the hull of first ship I see... find spawner and chest.
Open chest with purple wool

Spoilers. USE THEM.

Everyone! Pause and Joehills are in a live stream with Cilantrogamer right now! But Pause is playing. They are on RFW #2 and here is the link:
Possible: Break stair block, replace with solid block, remove pressure plate. BOOM.
EDIT: I should say that the reason why Vechs doesn't use pressure plates for most traps now is because other mobs (I'm looking at you, baby slimes) prematurely set traps off, so you'd hear random explosions in the distance.
Guys, I think he means put a block (glowstone) on top of the chest and when you remove it the piston behind it is triggered (like the one in the Caves of Madness) and the floor is removed via other pistons in the wall, or something. The pressure plates are on the floor of the hole you fall into, i would guess.
If you replace the stair block with a solid block, it will cut the circuit and set off the TNT.
Also, I don't see why Vechs doesn't use pressure plates anymore. Slimes only spawn at layer 16 and below, so if you make sure your trap is above that, it won't get set off. It's even easier if you try to make sure the ground level of all the areas in the map is at level 64, like in normal Minecraft. That way, very few places will even reach level 16 in the first place, let alone have a trap below that level.
Vechs is to!!!!
SHOWS OVER :unsure.gif: Maybe an aftershow?
