That might actually be for the best. The longer you take to get there, the more time endermen have to blow up your wool.

Fully deleted. I always use Shift-Delete because I hate having gazillions of "removed" files in a different folder.

Yeah, zombies have gracefully fixed any food problems in a map. All you need is a patch of darkness and some bravado.
Well I put a mod in that makes Enderman not pick up blocks. I was so sick of them grabbing everything. I know its not a "sanctioned" mod for Super Hostile, but Enderman dont bring anything to the table. Creepers and Skellies are far more scary than enderman. I wish Notch would remove them or revamp them.
I sure hope not. It's nice to have a real challenge every now and then but I've never found the romhack hard maps as fun as the easier more casual ones.
I'd like him to redo Endless deep. I tried it, it sucked, hard. Not just the "scripted" event, but just the nature of it, item amounts, There was a lot of just diving and walking around underwater.
...isn't the point of an underwater map supposed to be diving and walking around underwater, hence the UNDERWATER part?
If you want a map that doesn't have diving and walking around underwater, try a non-underwater map.

I liked endless deep and is one of my favorite maps i played. I like the theme of the map. the only thing that needs to be fixed in that map is the darkness but vech's cant fix that only notch. Also endless deep isn't a CTM it was made more of a survival.
