Hey there great games - I'm playing the Legendary one right now, collected tons of stuff, chests and chests full. but am not sure what the goal is on this what is the goal please ?
Read the first page, and the signs in the starting area!
But if you're too lazy to do either of those things a CTM map is a map designed to have the player go through various environments and collect an objective to complete some sort of monument (CTM = Complete The Monument). In Legendary's case, the Victory Monument isn't available right off the bat and you need to do a bit of exploring before you find it. Vechs' Victory Monument consists of the 16 colored wool and the Iron, Gold, and Diamond Blocks. Most areas you go through should have a chest full of wool, and in Vechs' newer maps (Legendary is quite old) you'll find the wools in brick structures called Fleecy Boxes.
TL,DR: Fight mobs in different areas, collect wools to finish the Victory Monument
1 Vigintillion (1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 10^63, or 1 Sextillion cubed) dollars is a lot of money! Like a sh*tload of money! O_O By the way, that number bought me to this thread! XD
On your open world maps are you supposed to do the dungeons in the numerical order? Will it mess up my gear/ the balance of the map if i do them in a different order?

You can do them in any order normally, just expect to die a lot if you tackle dungeon 8 before dungeon 2
I normally do it roughly in order. No fun doing an early dungeon with iron/diamond stuff
I loved sea of flame 2. It was my first super hostile map and tons of good memories. I would like for you to make another open worlds map like it. The dungeons were tough, but it had more of a survival aspect then say inferno mines.
Infernal skys were meh. There were almost no spawners and it was pretty much just survival where you run and go get wools when you get a chance.
Kaizo caverns were quite fun, but i didn't like it quite as much as sea of flame because it didn't have as much of a survival/building accept, just adventuring. Also multiple wools per dungeon were also meh
Is there lapis in any of these maps, Kaizo Caverns specifically, as I am playing this in 1.8.8, and you can't enchant without it. I will be playing all of Vechs' maps eventually, and I have a feeling it would be a lot harder without enchanting.
I've never played Kaizo Caverns, so I don't know for sure, but I'd guess probably not... I don't think lapis was around when that map was made. If I'm sorry, please forgive me...BUT if the map simply doesn't have any, I'd say it's not wrong to give yourself some. I know most of the maps have it somewhere, but that being the first one, I don't know.

I wander through CTM maps, getting lost, fighting monsters, and somehow accomplishing things. I'm never too sure how, but I do. Come join me, pets!
Unsure, it's been a while but I don't think so. Kaizo Caverns was also made and balanced a long time ago (pre enchanting existing) so I would recommend either downgrading to the recommended version or just not using enchanting on that map.
There was an enchanting table in one of the rooms in Kaizo Caverns, so there was enchanting at the time, and Lapis was added to minecraft in 1.2.1, but Lapis was not required to enchant back then. I tried giving myself some lapis, but I get the errors "no item minecraft:lapis, or minecraft:lapislazuli. I am not sure if this means that there is no lapis in the map, or what.
I'd suggest using the tab key to auto correct when you are inputting (i.e. "give <player> minecraft:l<tab>) and that way, if it's under a weird code for some reason, that should pull it up. Or creative mode is pretty failsafe, although that tends to feel a bit more cheaty I know.

I decided to play through Sea of Flame, and in the Molten Depths area I got attacked by an elder guardian's mining fatigue move. I think an ocean temple generated when it shouldn't have. How should I fix this?
My current progress: Classic Island is completed (I've got all the loot and such, but haven't made grinders out of the spawners), and I've gotten to the victory monument. I don't have iron, (water and milk are a moot point for strategic purposes) or any of the wools.
EDIT: I looked, and the ocean temple generated in an obvious place. I haven't progressed onto the blocks that the ocean monument ate, so I've decided to just copy my progress into a fresh copy of the map, then filter the map's biome so that this doesn't occur again.
EDIT 2: Turns out I'm not actually sure how to prevent this from occurring twice, since the game says that the location that the temple is isn't a deep ocean. (I don't have NBTExplorer, just MCedit.) I'm considering just rolling with it...

The easiest way would have been to play in an older version.
Barring that, use NBTExplorer and remove all of the entries from data/monument.dat (deleting the entire file might prompt the game to regenerate it), then use MCEdit to delete the Guardians and restore any of the terrain that may have gotten overwritten by the ocean monument.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
Hi, anyone know if I can play these maps on my ps3?
Or better I would like to ask if Vech could make a console (I would recommend a ps4/xbox one tough lol since you can do more stuff) only exclusive map, of course you can import to pc and etc later but console prevents cheating so Vech could add things like detector and an actual ending (because it's sad that you like the complete the monument and that's it ).....
But seriously is there a PC->PS3 map convertor out there? there is only for xbox 360....
Also anybody got any videos or images of gameplay on super hostile at 4k? With all these mods of shaders and photorealism and etc.... just for viewing pleasure :3

Can't wait to see what you implement into the next map with all that's being added in the Combat Update. Shields and shulkers and end ships, oh my!

I finished the first three super hostiles (Sea of flame 2, infernal skys 2, and kaizo kaverns).

Thanks Laura after several tries using the tab, found lapis under lapis_block.
You're welcome, glad you found it!
