Vechs seems to be active on the thread right now, so I think I'll post my opinion of the last few areas.
The game play issues have already been addressed, so I'll state my main gripe. The final areas have no plot tie-in whatsoever. The map has a huge build up, and then Vechs says "The miners never made it this far". That's all well and good, but that's no reason to have no plot. Maybe if the last section is one big ruins area, a lost civilization that the miners never saw. Perhaps you could explore different parts of the fallen civilization, eventually figuring out why it fell and trying to escape the darkness.
That's just what I'd do. It's up to you, but I think a plot tie-in like that would be really cool.

There ain't much left of the world these days. The gods have forsaken us, there's no denying that. But still you press on. For what? A chance to sift through the ashes one last time? The hope to one day be called a hero? Whatever your reason, you've got a lot of work to do. The corruption won't leave without a fight, so you better get started.
But honestly, if Dinnerbone is having Vechs test it, chances are it'll help CTM map makers. I can imagine it not being for that, because if I had a game I wanted a new mode tested for, but needed a test subject, I would contact one of the best at the game.
I know everybody is posting reviews of Inferno Mines, which is fine, but since I want to be special and a hipster and whatnot I shall post a review of my so far experiences with Nightmare Realm, because I feel the need to seperate myself from the popular and "Hip" crowd. :3
Start: I played the map once before, but barely even got to the monument because of ghasts. D; I knew about the TNT traps in the wood area so I grabbed a stack and bolted. I took some buckets, but so far it dosen't look like I'll be needing them. Dangit. Got to the monument and played volleyball with the Ghasts in an effort to keep the area tidy. I cleaned up the area and fenced it in, making a nice base. (You'll see my base in my Victory Picture, I have no intent on failing.) I am playing on Hard difficulty and set up a death counter for myself thanks to 1.5. Should be fun.
White Wool: I bridged over to the small house looking thing and quickly took it for my own, smashing the Ghast spawner and having a King-of-The-Hill type battle which quickly ended in several deaths to void and silverfish outbreaks. *sigh* I waltzed over to the fort surrounding the White Wool and dashed in there fast enough so that nothing spawned, taking the white wool for my own. :3
Orange Wool: Long story short, I walked up to the Ribbon Spire Hub, built up, smashed silverfish spawners, and took the wool. All in a day's work.
False Harvest: This is an interesting part of my journey. I walked to the portal expecting SOMETHING to be guarding it, and was pleasantly suprised. :3 Thanks for all the Skeleton Spawners, sucker! After going through the portal I snagged some iron and secured myself full iron armor and a block.
Cyan Wool: Got to the Caves of Madness, walked in, put torches, smashed spawners, turned fun box into large fall trap grinder, took wool, walked out. Iron armor makes a HUGE difference. :3
Blue Wool: Went into the upward-going room with much iron, coal, and ghasts. Started tunneling up. Went into Home of the Swarm. So far, I have not died ONCE in Home of The Swarm. And I'm playing on Hard. Well.... If you don't count THAT as a death. I'll tell you later. Anyways, I went down into the ABYSS, and quickly located the fleecy box. Easy enough to rush it and smash it.
Green Wool: I went deeper down and saw the room with all the "fun". That fun box in the middle was extremely obvious. If Cave Spiders were ignorant to light (Not just being hostile in high light levels, but spawning in them) the area would be much harder. I cleared it out and pearled into the Green Wool room, plopped a chest on the other side, stored the wool and my stuff, and then suicided with flint and steel to escape. I kept that on my death counter, but I don't say I died in Home of the Swarm due to Vechs' evilness, just my laziness to go hunt endermen.
That's as far as I've got right now. Current Deaths: 27, Difficulty: Hard, Rage-Quits: 8
Very nice map so far Vechs, I'd say even better than your current ones. :3
(I'm actually recording an LP of this new game mode, and have 2 episodes done, but I can't tell you guys anything about it, or release any footage of it yet. >__<;; )
As mentioned at MineCon,[2] Capture the Flag will first be available for the Xbox 360 Edition before the PC version or Pocket Edition. Although it is unsaid that it will ever be available in Pocket Edition.
I had cleared the entire area, every pigman spawner was down. I thought, "let's remove the tnt and not worry about a creeper detonating it. I punched 2 TNT and then ran a safe distance. The pig shrine blew up, and then EVERY SINGLE DAMN THING BLEW UP, including the fleecy box over 50 blocks away, which was the one thing I had not looted yet.
Please, let this freak accident be dismissed. What wool was it that was in there? I'm planning on doing a survival guide LP by running the map a second time with my friend and I need to know which wool that one contained.
Also, was that planned? If so, please off but I still luvs you ♥ Can I make my own copy of this wool with your permission? Love, Hysix.
Oh, here's the picture. DON'T BLOW UP THE PIG! http://imgur.com/J2Ps5CB
Somehow, despite having no armor and being next to the pig, I did not fall off or die 0_o
Well, it's something that can be made as a Let's Play, so unless Vechs and Dinnerbone are playing CTF matches over and over I doubt it's Capture The Flag.
(But who knows)

It's a fake wool box. The real wool is in the globule in the far back left!

Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)
Recently I've become obsessed with the notion of live streaming some Super Hostile and other CTM maps. I've tried streaming to twitch a couple times using CamTwist and Flash Media Live Encoder, and it's worked alright. However, it always streams at very low quality, and I can't seem to fix it. I've messed around with most of the settings on FMLE, but nothing has seemed to help. If anyone with live stream experience could offer some pointers, as well as recommend alternative software (Note: I use a Mac, unfortunately, which severely limits options, but am willing to try to get things working with Wine), that would be extremely helpful. I also wanted to get an idea of general interest, and just kind of see how things go. Thanks!
Hello, um, I've made a let's play, it's not finished, but it's a let's play of Sea of Flame one. It's not a video though, it's actually a blog in the style of a journal.
VECHS why did you have to say anything about a new game mode?? Now I really want to know what it is! This endless anticipation for something was supposed to end when Inferno Mines came out!

_________ Battlecry?
And I didn't think it was possible to make jumpscares in Minecraft ;_;
And yes, if you haven't noticed, I'm actually trying to beat IM legit.
Hope you didn't take the leaf-redstone-obsidian thing too seriously. :P

Don't suppose it's this?
WHAT?!
Danger zone.
Perhaps they are finally bringing the whole 'dungeons and levers' idea to life. A randomly generated roquelike dungeon gamemode would be awesome.
I'd be surprised.

So much love. Thank you.
And I did not. Back to work!
This. All of that right there. And some 'unf' to go with it. *_*
SH maps beaten: Sea of Flame II, Infernal Sky II, Kaizo Caverns, Nightmare Realm, Sunburn Islands, Spellbound Caves, Waking Up and counting....
Here it is: SHjoadm.blogspot.com
The SHjoadm means Super Hostile: Journal of a Delivery Man.
Furries are cool.
There are a lot of fake fleecy boxes, most commonly in Inferno Mines.
Speaking of which - the stick trolls are funny, but there's a few too many for my taste. Just saying.
