So for those of you following my LP of Sea of Flames II: I'm currently on vacation and am not able to record more episodes... would you like to see the one I have pre-recorded now, or wait until the weekend to give a more consistent upload schedule?
EDIT: Page get!
I'd rather wait. How I love watching vechs torment LPers everywhere....
hey vechs, i love these maps' LPs. recently, i wanted to do one of these maps with my cousin. he is kinda a Huge noob but i am pretty experienced. which one of these maps do you (or any other forum browser) recommenced for us to do?
Thanks

Let's talk strategies.
From my point of view, for super hostile, I generally see people using 3 different strategies.
1. Throw yourself in with a sword and torches until it is lit up like Christmas.
2. Bridge over.
3. Tunnel around.
Do your strategies deviate from these?
I need more strategies ._.
4. Blow things up .
EDIT:
I should probably specify how to blow things up, because I have a certain style. If there are lots of visible spawners, Get high above them then drop TNT on them. Cannons work as well, although they're hard to aim.
My strategy is to do an attempted torch/lava rush, then go over systematically and remove spawners. Sometimes I just rush areas or bridge and lava spawners from above. I don't like tunneling, but I will do it in places like Legendary's green wool.
I usualy just go an light stuff up fighting monster toes to toes and slowy progressing 1 torch at time into the spawner field. Depending on how is the terrain, how many monster and their type i change strategy. I only tunnel or bridge when im lazy or that the area is hard. (or if there is some stupid ceiling spawner)

Infernal Sky II
Sunburn Islands
or even Spellbound Caves
Imo the first two are the easiest Super Hostile maps so they would be the best for noobs but if he's a fast learner then you could try something a little bit harder like Spellbound or even Sea of Flames II.
From what I'm seeing, Andrea is actually decent at Minecraft. lol i love the vid though, because neither of them are all that good so there's a lot of funny stuff.
Just finished my fourth Super Hostile conquer, Kaizo Caverns!
Complementary victory screenshot:
Citadel of Demons really wasn't that bad, but it was really fun.
I made a covered walkway in, made a semi-covered stair up to the center shooting ghasts all the while with a Power I bow. This prevented things from getting really insane up until I got to the center and gave up on the ghasts. Chugged a fire resist potion and regen, hopped down the hole and murderized everything in sight with a sharpness 2 diamond sword. I had a bit of trouble getting out so I built a roof over the main hole. In all I never lost more than one heart of health and it was one of the craziest experiences I've had in Minecraft.
Gear (completely over prepared):
Projectile Protection II Diamond Helmet
Protection II Diamond Chestplate
Protection II MAN PANCE
Feather Falling II Diamond Booties
Sharpness II, Fire Aspect I Diamond Sword
Power I Bow
Rockbane
Tons of Instant Health/regen/speed/fire resist potions I didn't use
Water bucket
etc etc
Map stats:
Deaths: 5
Difficulty: Normal
Most favorite area: Citadel of Demons
Least favorite area: Grave of the Dragon (WTF is it with the green wool?)
Going for another map next... either Spellbound or maaaaybe Waking Up.
Another Hostile Trails or at least an update to Pigget Panic please? I know you already have a long to-do list, Vechs, so I just want to know if one is ever planned.

Advance with courage and conviction. Strike them down in the name of the God-Emperor and the Golden Throne of the Imperium.
This new command block is going to make these maps that much more impossible.
*step on a pressure plate* *get teleported over a pit of lava*
or even:
*proximity detector detects you* *get teleported over the void*
I'm scared now... (OnO)

CTM maps beaten: Sea of Flame II, Infernal Sky II, Kaizo Caverns, Black Desert, Legendary, Nightmare Realm, Sunburn Islands, Spellbound Caves, Lethamyr, Waking Up
That was one impressive explosion. as I lie dead in the center of the crater, I notice it unearthed the last iron I needed for the monument! Thank you vechs and your bizarre form of generosity.
I'm not giving up this Giftwarped map, the regular Gift map is for sissies.

4. Blow things up
EDIT:

5. Slow and steady. It's not very efficient, but there's not much chance of dying.
Super Hostile maps I've completed: Spellbound Caves (Yeah, I pretty much suck.)
This is my main strategy so far in Waking Up. So fun to just dump lava, walk back, laugh at the mobs screams.
Technically exists.
Far as I know the only diamonds you get are in Balestein.

Referring to Sock. And there's enough for a full set of armour and a sword I believe. Depends on what you do.If Vechs' counts as 8 then 9 is
"Run in, grab wool, run out, go immediately to next area and repeat 15 times"

So far three wool with zero deaths,
although I cannot speak for my partner[CTM] The Most Brutal Egg Hunt Ever Created.
