It's a big one, too! Complete with lava well and three blaze spawners so far.
I still haven't found any nether wart, but that's not what I'm there for, anyway~!

Guess I'll give a quick progress report on my own Lethamyr adventure.
Finally decided to go back to the original dungeon I found, which I decided not to do anything in, due to there being a blaze spawner at the bottom of the stairs.
Let me just say, I'm glad I waited until now to do this dungeon. Holy crap.
There are spawners everywhere.
First staircase wasn't so bad (don't remember if there were any spawners on the way down now, but there was a spider spawner in addition to the blaze spawner at the bottom of it), but the next room and down the second staircase was hell.
First room contained... I'm guessing 2-3 zombie spawners, 2-3 skeleton spawners, a creeper spawner, and a silverfish spawner. I got exploded a couple of times trying to get to that creeper spawner (I was half asleep at the time, so I probably half assed the entire dungeon so far in a spectacular fashion), but I got there eventually. Saved the blaze spawner in the previous room, and the zombie/skeleton spawners in this room for eventual mob grinders.
Continuing down the staircase... spawners everywhere. It seemed like every corner of the staircase had at least one spawner, and some corners had up to 4-5. I've probably destroyed at least 30 spawners on the way down to the bottom, likely more than that. Mostly zombie, skeleton and creeper spawners, but I saw several enderman (two endermen spawners in one corner I also saved for a mob grinder), several spider (some cave spiders, at least two spawners), two ghast spawners, several silverfish spawners, and one blaze spawner.
Getting down to the bottom of the stairs, the path goes into another room with a sheer drop into a room down below, as well as a hole in the wall about halfway down. I dug out the edge I was standing on into a staircase down, and there was a hallway leading away from the hole, splitting off into more hallways. I dug to the left... and right into a room with a creeper spawner. Crap.
Dumped lava everywhere and swam in it (fire resist potions galore now). Managed to take that room without much difficulty. Room across the hall from this had a cave spider spawner in it (lava bucket'd the hell out of that, too), next two rooms had a zombie spawner, then a skeleton spawner. Easy peasy. Retreated soon after this to get more fire resist potions and empty my inventory. My epic sword has looting II on it, so I seem to be getting a ton of stuff from that. Gonna help for getting blaze rods later, at least.
No doubt this is the equivalent of one of the 'final' wool of a more linear map (black or red is my guess), hence the sheer difficulty. Having fun with it so far, though.
Weeeeeeell technically I have one, but it was made with a pony maker and it's veery outdated.
(I didn't even have my hat when I made that!)
It almost feels like it lacks something... Oh, right. Personality. XD
Maybe it's time to make a new one, just for the lulz. :3

Hmm, that's pretty cool looking. I like that the islands are actually somewhat close: I hate having to build endless bridges to something you can barely see in the distance over expanses of void. Yuck.
What sort of map is it? Exploration, you said, but is it a CTM? Or some sort of narrarated storyline?
I'll probably finish up another dungeon today, so I'll post an image.

You could probably compare it to Sunburn islands in the map type but if you played it I think you would find its not just a copy. I tried to come up with original areas and ideas so people wouldn't see mine as just another clone.

I'll be honest: Sunburn Islands is the only Super Hostile I've managed to complete (I had friends on). I'm such a lightweight.
Just by the look of it, it doesn't look like a Sunburn Islands (henceforth SI) knockoff. It seems different in both style and substance.
To clarify, what are we seeing here? Just a few random islands? Or are those dungeons? Because they seem awfully small if they are. If it's just varied islands of no real importance, it's fine.
I'm actually just starting up on a CTM myself- I'm doing a series of shoerter (8 dungeon) maps with comparable difficulty to Vech's stuff. So, fellow newbie, I suppose we can give each other opinions.
I wonder what a peaceful version of a vechs super hostile map would be like. Well I guess it would be the same but without hunger or mobs. Vechs needs to make a peaceful version but with the same hostile and hard feeling.

I think what you (Spyro) are looking for is a good parkour challenge map, or a puzzle-type thing. I've seen some good ones out there, but I think Vechs prefers killing us the old fashioned way.
With creepers.

To all those who wanted Endermen placing Enderman spawners- I can't get it to work. Other people may have better luck than me, but I can't make it work.
Yeah, unfortunately it is impossible at the moment.
Enderman carried block data is only saved as two short integers whlie mob spawners' mob type is stored as a string.
Vechs it needs to be with all your traps like the range bombs and all. Not a sight seeing tour. It MUST have the vechs killing people in fire fun just with peaceful. Maybe it could be a multi-difficulty map meaning you could go from Peaceful to hard
Vechs, so far while playing Hostile trails, I've been killed more times by peaceful mobs than by hostile mobs in spellbound caves in the same time period... That disturbs me...

LOL vechs, but your right. A map without mobs is just a tour imo. Vechs, in inferno mines, there HAS to be cave spider calvery. Cause i want to see people scream when skeltons, blazes, and creepers are riding speeded up cave spiders. Because that, will make anything hostile.

I beat two super hostile maps, see of flame 2 and spellbound, have to finish more. Plan to do inferno mines for lulz and win when it goes out. Have fun!
