Well I am glad that is out of the way. I wonder, is it possible to give a mob an enchant like you allowed Vechs to do health and buffs instead? Causes zombies with like knocback and skeletons with flame would be sick IMO.
I beat two super hostile maps, see of flame 2 and spellbound, have to finish more. Plan to do inferno mines for lulz and win when it goes out. Have fun!
All this talk about spawners is making me think back to the mob arena on the server I play on. Here are some stats on it:
Size: A lttile less than four chunks.
Design: Desert Urban, with a plain outside the town. Under the sand ground are two layers of stone, with a bunch of iron veins and one large coal vein underneath. Mobs can spawn in the middle of town, at four spots outside of town, and on top of two of the buildings. (Would post pics, don't know how to get to them.)
Settings: No health regen, hunger never decreases, and no mob drops. Crafting is allowed, but crafted items have a durabiltiy while swords you spawn with do not. Players can not drop items, so a Tank can not get a diamond sword.
Wave set up: Waves come when all mobs from the previous wave die. Every ten waves there is a boss. The waves are either a special wave of only one mob type, or a preset wave. Two groups can spawn, so you can get double the listed amount.
Waves 1-9: Special: Two Big Slimes or two Zombie Pigmen.
Preset: Two Zombies and a Skeleton.
Wave 10: Boss: Zombie, with 100(?) health, and the ability to teleport anyone who isn't within 5 blocks
of it to its current location.
Waves 11-19: Special: I forget... But I think it might be three Big Slimes and something else.
Preset: Four zombies, two skeletons, two spiders, and a creeper
Wave 20: Boss: Squid, with 100 health(?), with the ability to teleport to a player's location, place a
flowing water source block above them, and drop five lightning bolts.
Waves 21-50: I don't know. Never got to them.
Classes: Whenever you go in, you must pick one of these classes:
Knight: Diamond Sword, Iron Armor, three Health II potions, one Speed II potion
Tank: Iron Sword, Diamond Armor, two Health II potions
Chemist: Stone Sword, Gold Armor, thirty Splash Potions of Harming, 20 Splash Potions of Healing, ten
Splash Potions of Poison, a Potion of Speed, a Regen potion
Archer: Leather Armor, Stone Sword, Bow, three stacks of Arrows, one Wolf
Beastmaster: No armor, wooden sword, five wolves, a few health potions
Builder: Stone Sword, Diamond Pickaxe, a few health potions, and sticks.
The farthest anyone has gotten is Wave 25.
I'm doing most of this from memory, so some stuff is probably wrong.
Anyways, what do you guys thing of that? Do you think any of the upcoming maps will be this hard, harder, or are we just really bad fighters? (No one on the server had beaten a Super Hostile map, and only the server owner has ever palyed one.) And that last bit most certainly wasn't me trying to get someone to direct me to a tutoial on how to download and install a map.
No, Atlas! If you can find a pixel Atlas and get him to use it as his avatar it would be awesome!

CTM maps beaten: Sea of Flame II, Infernal Sky II, Kaizo Caverns, Black Desert, Legendary, Nightmare Realm, Sunburn Islands, Spellbound Caves, Lethamyr, Waking Up
I started the Sea of Flame II today. When i saw the sign saying "Zistonian Battlesign 1", I loled. when I opened the chest, i thought, "Man-pants and an enchanted sign. how funny!" nice shout out, Vechs!

Dinnerbone, could you add spawners to creative mode and slow the player to edit the mob, mob health, potions effects, etc by hand? This would make mapmaking much simpler.
I'm just going to throw down a thank you for Dinnerbone, because he does awesome things like make boats more viable methods of transport. Also this mob spawner thing that's going on. Anything beneficial to custom maps, but not typical SSP worlds, I always view as a going above-and-beyond to give the community something cool.

Hey Vechs, You should fill a small room with fast spawning mobs and Ghast fireballs. This way while hitting the mobs, the player must be careful not to hit a fireball so it doesnt hit a mob, blow up, and kill the player along with other mobs. Also, you should find a way to set off the Ghast fire balls without the help of the player, that way you can make a trap.

Has anyone tried to see if Ghast Fireballs can be activated by arrows shot from dispensers? Because that would work as a trap, basically "Oooh look, a bunch of fireballs, wonder what I can shoot the-OH MY GOD WALL OF FIREBALLS HEADING TOWARDS MY FACE!
